Urban Ski Bases

I follow numerous urban skiers on the gram, all of which I will come across footage of them skiing right over raw pavement, rocks, all of this super rough and abrasive material. JP Auclair's all that I can is another great example of this. It makes me cringe a little, A40 posted a video of getting towed behind a car on the street. It would probably be different for me if I could afford to abuse my skis that much, but that's not the case.

I am really curious to see what some of these bases look like, anyone have pics to share?

they look exactly as youd expect, lots of small gouges and the rest of the base all dried and scratched up

it doesnt destroy them as quickly as youd think though... skis are really impressive in the abuse they can take. my friends and i used to stair ski as kids and the stairs actually dont do nearly as much damage as rough uneven pavement etc does

that said, yeah if youre not swimming in cash or skis you dont want to do it to your main skis. but it's not usually as catastrophic as you might think

1. Buy new pair of skis every season.

2. Ride streets on last season's pair.

3. Get sponzorized and get more skis to trash for cheaper.

was partially expecting a thread about ski base jumping in an urban environment. but they look... scratched and.. bad

I can only imagine how bad they look. Nobody has got any pics? I was really hoping to finds someone who has basically worn entirely through their bases
