toronto dosnt have alot of good urban rails because its such a modern city.

by the time most of the buildings were being built skateboarding was already huge. so they designed buildings to stop these "vandels" from destroying private property.

there are a few good ones around deep downtown if you look hard. but by the time you pull out your shovel security will be thur.

I suppose the trick is to find one in an obscure location that is not clearly visible or heavily trafficed. Areas like in a small park , or just out of the city would be ideal.

Your right about the modern city layout of Toronto. Ther is the same problem in every small subdivision town thats popping up around the city. All of the hand rails are extremely course and galvenized to prevent corrosion and make them last longer. If it isnt galvenized steel, then its aluminum, which is a rather deadly surface to slide on.

Barrie is an older city than toronto (not literally, but it hasnt been updated the same way that toronto has over the years). Barrie has a ton of ideal rails, but none that are that large or impressive for photo shoots and such. But if your looking for something fun to mess around on, thats probably the best place to look. A 30 minute drive wil turn up about 6 or 7 hittable rails.

Anyway, if anyone finds that perfect rail in southern ontario, let me know, or else!

Port Saint Lucy or whatever it's called. It's south of Toronto and Vanular's hometown. we found a bunch of rails down around there this year.

You kids aren't looking hard enough. Ottawa is a rail town because people took the 8-10 hours a day for days LOOKING. Rails are everywhere, you need to dig hard. Fuck downtown Toronto or anywhere near the core... Go to scarborough, try not to get killed and look in every corner of the dirty suburbs. Semi-developed and less developed places are usually fruitful, especially considering that if you do actually find one to do you probably wont get kicked out when you end up trying. You really have to search every street. Just start on the map and look. Try all the public parks, transpo stations, look for uneven land. Barrie would be great, cause if I remember correctly it's on a hill. Ya just gotta put the time in.

come to mississauga around the lower area. theres tons. and theres one on dixi road and south service. that comes off dixi roads bridge to the south service road. its perfect and theres a hill for a drop in already

^uhhhh....you sure about that rail? The one that's on the southwest side of the hill? If I remember correctly, it's galvanized.

You'd get a wonderful view of Dixie Value Mall. AWESOME!

The internet is for slandering others anonymously.

ya its that one. 2 or so days ago i went to it and scrapped all the shit of the top of it and cut a tree down it. and then i cut out low branches off the tree at the landing so i can land easyer

there ARE rails in toronto, you just have to know where to look. You have to hit up the older neighbourhoods of the city to find stuff. But, the best place to find rails is at schools. Almost all of Toronto's schools are ancient and have not been modernized like the rest of the city has. I've hit up rails at a few schools in my area (Young/Lawrence) and I know that most schools have decent rails to hit.

Toronto has got lotsa stuff, you just gotta look for it

yeah the schools are definitely the place to look. this one is by Arlington middle school, and also close to an ice rink for summer sessions.

The best spot I've seen is Glenview middle school by avenue rd. and eglinton. There are a bunch of burly doublekinks, a straight down rail, and a super long downhill rail that goes down a hill with no stairs. also all the stairs at glenview are made of wood so slightly less death factor. its a pretty well known spot, my snowboarder friend said he's seen it in magazines. i sessioned there for hours and only got busted when I drove my car down a hill and onto the field for lighting. PM me anyone who wants more specific directions.

This one is also at Arlington. The kinks are really close together so I don't know if it's possible but I'd love it if someone proved me wrong.
