Urban rail phenomenon

so iv noticed this, has anybody else?

in the spring and summer, when im scoping out urban, i feel pretty confident about it all, they all seem pretty hittable

however, when its cold it, i tend to feel a little less comfortable looking at urbans...its weird

iv hit plenty so i dont think im jus being a pussy, but something about the cold makes urbans seem mroe knarly

for instance, hitting urban in summer is much more fun for me then in winter

any thoughts?

pretty much everything is WAY scarier when you (not the air) are cold

thats why its so important to warm up before trying new shit and stuff where you might fall

just a natural reaction to prevent injuries if you ask me

i think because in the summer your not actually hitting it, and you know your not going to anytime soon versus standing above it about to hit it in the winter....your nuts are in way more danger then

i hate looking at big rails in the summer, they look so much scarier then when there is snow

Just noticed a really sick rail at my school today, large runin and someone already sawed off the donkey at the end so I really want to hit it but I was just thinking about how it will be different in the winter.

i think that its because when your looking at it in the summer theres no pressure you proly got a couple of your friends with you and it all mello but when its cold out its dark theres ice all over the place(sometimes) and if you say ur gunna do it u pretty much have to do it unlike the summer where you can say pretty much anything you want

urban are always less scary in spring since it's hot and that you've hit rails all year

i know what you're saying completely. urban or in the park, the colder the temperature, the less i like hitting rails. i don't know why, but falling on steel when it's cold out just doesn't seam that pleasant.

now that i live out west - if it's cold out (like -25C or colder), I won't bother going skiing if that means I gotta hit up the park. I haven't found a temperature that will stop me from skiing powder (even if it means I gotta hike for it), but I have a feeling it sits somewhere around -37C to -40C... at -40 sitting on the couch watching movies with the heat cranked just seams that much more enjoyable.

maybe cos it reminds u of winter and it makes u realise that u are getting closer to being able to hit that rail making u more nervous
