Haha, I'll still put in some rails that will never be hit anyway because of their location. Nice dfdf + next to major insection=no way you won't get busted. This is somewhat a good idea, there's spots that I know I won't hit that I might post up, but no way am I posting good, unknown rails.

ummm sorry to break it to you but Evan is right about this one. Giving away locations so everyone can go hit it sill blow up locations because they will get noticed and will make the spots impossible to hit like some are already.
And honestly, it will ruin ski movies. Do you really want every ski movie to have the same rails? Tricks will end up getting repeated and seeing the same rail over and over again in every movie will just get old.

the problem with all these kids running around getting buck-wild on rails is their lack of understanding of urban etiquette. I learned it the hard way when someone much more seasoned than myself explained that you have to be respectful. Don't leave trash lying around the rail, try not to permanently alter the area (sometimes it's unavoidable in order to hit the rail but do it in the least damaging way possible), and if you get busted, don't give the cops or security any shit-they're doing their job and you will be able to tell from the first word they say if they're gonna boot you or let you stay. If they ask you to leave, do it, and come back for a different shift. It only takes one kid being a douche to an equally douchy security guard to get skate-stops welded on to the rail.

Wow numerous rails have been knobbed due to over use. I had no idea. So if you subtract those 5 that have been knobbed that leaves us with, uhm, only a couple million hand rail left in the united states. People, please don't post pictures on this map! The number of rails left is declining faster than you know!

some are, some arent. usually they're strips of metal welded to the top of the rail that USUALLY prevent you from hitting it. I just used skate stops as an example, but another example of getting an actual location busted is the security/people around the rail will skip the whole confronting you part, and just call the cops on you. Generally the cops don't see what you're doing as a good thing

5 rails really? Your a fucking idiot. Go look around your town. I promise you will see a bunch of rails with knobs on them. Why is that? Because people saw skateboarders hitting it and they wanted to prevent it. A perfect example of how this map is horrible is Rail Gardens in Utah. There has been so many kids that film those rails nothing new is being done on them. Also the rails are getting broken because so many people hit them.

im 17, 5 11, i weigth 170, i can bench 185 7 times, and i have been training MMA for 2 years, if u want proof withen the next week i will fight an exibition match with someone at the gym and take a video i will state my username befor i fight, if that is not proof than tell me what is.

This entire post contridicts itself, and my original post had nothing to do with his opinions on the original thread creators idea, it was for all of the negative thing he says, almost everything he says is negative how is that contributing to the site? by putting down others he is somehow bettering ns? i guarantee i know the most legit spot of anybody here:
Near downtown Denver:
You crawl through a iron bar fence and walk about 1/4 mile through a suage tunnel about 5 feet high. You exit onto a pad of concrete about 40 feet wide and 90 feet long. through the middle, there is a 10 ft wide river. On either side, there are graffiti-covered walls slanting outwards (perfect for wallrides). A rail has been cemented in. On top of the left wall, there is a ledge about 7 feet wide.
We tow in with a minibike and either:
Hit the wallride
Hit the railAnd once when there was about 2.5 feet of snow we hauled ass in from the tunnel and had a gap jump over the river and up onto the ledge of the left wall like a step-up.
The graffiti is legit too. Its art, not tags (murals of joint-toting smurfs fighting ...etc)
