Urban in Boston

A couple of friends and I have been talking this up for a while and now that there's actually some snow on the ground we thought we'd give it a shot. We have shovels, tubs to move snow, and a willing crew. We have no portable lights on hand, but didn't figure that would be a problem with the amount of street lights in Boston.

I was really hoping that a few of you Boston based skiers could give us a few suggestions as to spots that would be cool to hit up. Most of us are students at Northeastern, so we're located in the Back Bay/Mission Hill/Roxbury Crossing area of the city. What we're looking for is something kind of mellow (no quad kinks or anything like that). I've been trying to scout out places on side streets where we're not going to get shut down by the cops as soon as we set up.

Let me know if you have any ideas, or if you've hit something in this area in the past and what happened. Anyone who wants to come along is welcome as well!

yo im from winchester like 5 min outside Boston and iv seen some dope rails at Tufts in Somerville. you should check it out. il probably hit some later this season when theres more snow

Ya i guess but theres one in Dorchester by the beach that a bunch of kids hit. you should check that out

just drive around, you'll find stuff, cops usually won't kick you out of public land, private property is more likely to get you kicked out and the more run down neighborhoods you don't get kicked out of anything, but you don't want to go at night around those parts

there is urban every where. its the best city in america for urban by far. i have 5 good spots with in walking distance of my house.

Weight wasn't really in BOSTON Boston, it was in the cities around it. I feel like this guy is wondering about the actual city and how it is. A question I wonder everytime I walk through there haha

They did hit the Bunker Hill Monument rail which is more in the center of Boston. That rail looks crazy though.

Sorry I can't really help with the OP. I'm about an hours drive from Boston so I don't really know of any rails that you could hit up. Definitely just go scouting around though and see what you can find. Good luck!

Haha... really. I woke up this morning and thought the same thing. Thanks for all the help guys. While I'm waiting for snow to fall again I'll scout out a few likely spots.

Sooo crazy. Forgot about that one.

But I've always wanted to hit those rails in Government Center right next to City Hall. There's signs that say "No Skateboarding. No Rollerblading. No Stuntbiking.", but they never say anything about skiing. Give it a shot hahaha
