I got some skis shipped to me from the states, fuckin UPS charged me $120 at the door that's so whack!

I got skis off of ebay shipped to me through US mail, and then Purolator delivered to my door in Canada, they charged $24.

DO NOT USE UPS!
 
Well I called immediatly. The person did send them pre-paid. Pisses me off though I asked for them to mark em as a gift, but they wouldnt. I've never had a problem shipping that way but he was apprehensive. Fuck!
 
fuck yo couch nigga fuck yo couch! that sucks dude, i am pretty pissed at ups as well, they lost a belt that was sopossed to be here a month ago (trying to find it now) and my dirtbike graphics that were ordered a week ago with 2 day shipping havent showed up yet either. i personally think dhl is the shit, they raped ups when i ordered from dell, they sent one thing ups and one thing dhl, the dhl thing was at my house 2 days before the ups was.
 
yeah, thats happened to me once, well, not me but you know...i feel kind of bad, the kid had to pay like 150 bucks when he got them.
 
i find UPS so stupid.. i sent a zen mirco player (like the size of an ipod mini) and it was like $40 CN .. it went a long way (toronto to stillwater, ok) but still that's so much money
 
fedex > UPS....ive never had problems with fedex and although i rarley use UPS my friends and people i know have had multitudes of problems with UPS
 
At work we only use UPS because Fedex screws everything up. They routinely lose packages or show up after we're closed at night to deliver our shipment for the day. Never had any problems with UPS. International shipping does suck though, I dont know whos best there
 
That's what gets' you, you were probably paying for custom taxes, being charged by UPS cause they had to pay it to bring the product into canada, cause the goverment wants the money.

It pisses me off i got skis sent to me too for the US, and paied a couple bucks.

got got bindings sent, guy didn;t make it as a gift, and marked the value at it's FULL RETAIL price, not even what i paid, and you have to pay taxes when it comes to canada from the us, on the listed it prices. man did it ever piss me off, i let that fucker know.

The key is - marking it as a gift, and putting the value $$ of the product down, to what it would cost to "only" produce the item. it skis would be like 75 bucks or something.
 
haha i just did a case study on UPS in my business class, and it said that its probally the best shipping company in the world right next to FEDEX
 
i dunno what all the hating is on, i sent an mp3 player in a box the size of a brick and it cost me 6 dollars 2 day shipping
 
UPS Charges you a brokerage fee when you send it over the border.

Never go with UPS from US to canada.

Always Fed Ex or just USPS.

You'll save tons.
 
i wish i knew that man... same happened to me, i had to pay 100cad, and they delayed the delivery for 1.5 weeks then said i'll get my money back for the delay through the sender, well none of us never got them. fucken sucks. never using ups again
 
Yeah man I was well aware of the mark it as a gift as I sell plenty of stuff on EBAY and always do that to my american buyers. Fuck I wish dood would have just listened to me grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
