Uploading videos on macs?

You should try the new desktop uploader app. The latest version is pretty stable.

It says it can do 10gb, but that is a lie. We're running tests on 10gb uploads, but we're really not sure if it will work or not. However up to 5gb will work like a charm.

You need Adobe AIR to run it - http://get.adobe.com/air/

The idea is that you send all your video to newschoolers through the app, then you can sort it all in MyMedia.

We're slowly letting more and more people into the system, so we can keep testing and ensure reliability.

why dont you just upload it to ns? embeds dont get any views anyway

Well that is YouTube... the person doesn't want you to embed their video.

You really should try uploading to NS. Its a much better experience now.
