Uploading music on NS!?!

It would be cool if anyone could upload songs on NS in the media section and not only Pics and Videos.

they can't do that without permission from the companies I believe, otherwise its not legal and that site could get in alot of trouble.

 
p2p is very hard to trace back to the creators. but yeah, if we had a p2p type thing that would be illegal and ns would get sued. but if we could like upload songs if we are in a band or something, that would be cool

Limewire and other P2P programs arent hosting the music. They are simply connecting users to each other. If the users choose to share copyrighted (illegal...) music, that's there problem not the P2P network.

The orignal Napster used a centralized server to connect people with others. This is why they were shut down, because there was an origin. The recent P2P networks have no centralized server that is in charge of connecting people. Everyone connects to each other and there is no centralized server, hence nothing to shut down. So, the RIAA resorts to corrupting files in the network and trying to make it harder for users to download the software. But, there isnt really anything they can do since the software itself isnt illegal.

change the ending from .mp3 to .mpg upload it. Then dl change the ending back to .mp3 and listen. Hmm I wonder if that would work.

thats my way, ive neva used it tho, in theory it wud work tho, mods may take it down just cz it dont work, u cud also make some real shitty vid clip and have the music as background and then extraxt the music later
