Upgrading my desktop

Hey everyone, I am currently thinking about upgrading my desktop because it really is shitty for video editing now. I was thinking two things thatll help out is to add more ram, and get a better video card. Does anyone have any suggestions of what card/ram etc? or any other things that could help me? K+ for good answers. I don't really know that much about computers. I did research, but i thought ns could have some good input as well.

My current specs:

Lenovo H320

4Gb of RAM

Intel i3 processors

I didn't really know what to look for when looking for the current video card all I really saw was "Intel (R) HD Graphics"

750 gb of internal storage free

it's awesome for editing, i edit files straight from hdslr's and video cameras with no conversion.
 
If you just convert your raw h264 for to a more friendly codec, it should run alot better. Your computer is definitely fast enough.
 
Could you recommend a converter? and what codec would you recommend to convert it to? But wow that's great to hear. Thanks for the response, K+
 
What editing program do you use? I feel like for macs prores or AIC is the best, but on pcs isn;t the best like avi or mpeg2? hopefully someone from the PC side can chime in.
 
mpeg4 is usually pretty solid, but idk that's just an idea. and im currently editing in cyberlink powerdirector 9 (kill me) but im trying to get serials for premiere pro or torrent it but no matter how hard i try i just fuck something up or get it wrong(maybe you could help me?:) ) So hopefully i'll be editing in premiere pro soon.
 
dude, honestly, no hate intended, but ur retarded if u cant figure out how to steal programs. watch youtube, follow the steps, BOOM u got the program. i wish u the best of luck. id help u more but i have vegas. if all u need is the serial, download a keygen, patch it to the program file, and ur good to go. i was doing this when i was 13, its really not hard
 
ive tried a keygen but they are all unsuccesfull, but lol @ no hate intended but ur retarted lolllllllllllllll . I can do lots of other things, but i just struggle with this.. idk why
 
its fine, i really dont like editing nearly as much as filming, so i havent really put in the time to learn all the controls.
