Upgrade eligibility iPhone 4s?

I tried searching already and found nothing useful.

Ok so my question is, Has anyone been in this similar situation?

I was eligible for an early upgrade in Oct but that would make the iPhone like $449 and fuck that. On the phone, the lady told me everyone is different though and I can't check my status since my line is shut off because I'm on deployment.

I'll be coming home very soon and will sacrifice buying a shit phone for a few weeks till I'm eligible for cheaper upgrade which might be January she told me.

Anyone run into a similar situation with the early upgrade and waiting?

As bad as it sounds, maybe I can mention I've been on deployment and they can let the few weeks slide?
 
I think its been really hit or miss man, and I have seen and heard and experienced some widely varying upgrades. I would just call the phone companies multiple times, go into different phone companies stores, and check out multiple apple stores. Basically beg, it seems to work for a lot of people (including me once)
 
I plan to order it over the phone like 2 weeks before I leave to guarantee I have a phone when I get back and its not sold out. Just stressful when I think about it haha.

Side note, I want to keep my unlimited.
 
What phone do you have now? I just got the 4s, my first iPhone, and I love it. But I would wait for the cheaper upgrade. How much cheaper?
 
i had the 3gs but gave it to my buddy for watching my truck while I'm gone. I didn't know that October was my early upgrade time. 16 months I believe and the price is $449. I get home in a few weeks but might need to wait to Jan 21st to get it for $200.

Bastards.
 
I've already called verizon and just asked them to move my eligibility time for me so I could get a new phone immediately and they did it for me. I may have just caught the girl on the phone having a great day or something.
 
I just sold my 3GS back to bestbuy the other day and got the 4s with an upgrade for $27. Fuckk yeah beat that
