We are pulling the site down later this week and updating it with something a bit more simple until we have more to show.

We also have two internship opportunities opening up in September.

Modeler/Rigger/Animator:

Texture Artist:

More info will be post on the site later this week/early next week.

We are also adding a better system to update you on the various Jib Life games we have under development as they progress.

btw,

we don't care if you flunked high school, or if you have a PHD. If you can show us that you understand the requirements (to be posted on the site) for the jobs then you are in. Both jobs have the potential to transition into full salaried jobs with health benefits and all the other fancy jazz you get from corporate America.

rhyno,

yes we have a team working on this and other games right now. JL is not the only game being produced by the studio, it's just the most recent, thus the openings.

who gives a shit, let them work on it as long as they want. the longer we wait the better the game will be when its finally released. i hate studios that rush games and they release a product that is buggy as shit and not very immersive. *cough* skate 2 *cough*

Both intern positions have been filled, thanks to those who applied, sorry if you didn't get in.

Look out for more jobs to open in in Sept and months beyond.

Thanks

skate 2's rails are much better and the camera doesn't go apeshit like in skate 1 but the air controls are much better in skate 1

Mr. Life:
Isn't it shitty that the community who you are pretty much making the game for also happens to contain the most skeptics?
Every thread you make turns out the same, so much hate.
I don't even care about the game, this is just an observation.

its because we care about the game and want it to be the best it can be, not because we dont believe its gonna be good

Where do you know of that this game is being marketed besides ns?
its not gonna be like a bunch of random people outside of the marketed dem are gonna come out and be skeptical cuz we're the only ones that give a fuck and know its being made.

Billek,

We don't really see them as skeptic (maybe to a degree given the unique nature of our team), but more as encouraging.

It's nice to know that everyone here really cares and wants to see a solid game put out.

What get's old is the same questions over and over that already have answers.

And yeh, we are taking a step back on "marketing" the games presence, as there really isn't anything to market right now. Releasing the info we did when we did was a mistake that Ben made, as he is not a marketing person.

We are stoked about the hype, but now we have set the bar very high and people seem to expect the game is gonna just be turned around over night. We are working hard to create, not just a legit skiing/boarding game, but a legit game in general that will transcend beyond the NS worlds we are all so intertwined in. It's a big job and it's coming along really well.

I expect people will get upset when the new site drops, but it's for the best in the long run as the amount of people learning about the game is increasing exponentially.

Thanks for all the continued support, we are stoked as always.

I think we all understand that but what akes people mad is yo won't even make a guess at how long the games release will be. We understand you don't know but all we are asking for is a guess. Even if it's not very accurate it would be very nice. It is hard to be excited for something when you have no idea when it will happen.

Well I know that many people want to see this game through, but there are always people in every thread doubting this game.
Ryno (who I like) is a good example from this thread. He didn't really add anything to the table, he just doubted the legitimacy of your team.
I don't know what to think. I want a game that lives up to its potential, but I like to look at the subject from all angles. One of these angles is that you guys are too smalltime to really accomplish this ginormous task.
I really like that you are presenting the game to NS in a blog fashion though, I can't think of any game development team that's as grassroots as you guys.

I love that Jib life is happening, even if it takes a while.I think everyone would love to have it this instant, but I am sooo glad you guys are taking the time to do it right, cause thats whats going to make it a successful game in the end.
