Unsurvivable accident survived (cool car destroyed)

whooooooa, i just realized when you said that, that it was one car only.... holy shit im not gonna lie though when you said he climbed out himself it kinda made me role my eyes just cause it was wide open.

Yea, German cars are usually really good with safety and road feel, at least thats what I've been told. I had a friend who was driving his vw through the woods and had to dodge a jogger and ended up flipping his car and hit a tree such that the top of his car hit the tree drivers side down and the whole car wrapped around the tree. They had to rip the side of the car open in order to medivac him to the hospital. The paramedic said he was on angel's wings and he should have died. He ended up getting 200+ stitches in his head because the left side of his face was cut off from his scalp so it was sagging down, and he has a bunch of steel rods in his arm, but if he was in some japanese car, he would definetly be dead.

holy hell i feel safe crusin in mah buddies A4 wagon now... thats for damn shurr they really are built pretty damn sturdy!

i  wonder if the car was designed to protect the driver like crazy or if he was just extremely lucky.  like how race cars are designed for everything to get totally destroyed in a crash except for the little area the driver is sitting in.

I don't think it matters WHERE it happend more that the car is German so it's built with left hand driving where if he was driving on the right I think hed turn to spaghetti.

Hate to say this because I love Audis but I have to point out that if you are cruising in your buddies A4 wagon I assume he drives and you are the passenger.

take a look at the passenger seat

Dang bro, that looks like it was a pretty sick jeep, howd u flip it? Did you have a stock roll cage, because it looks like it protected the front seats pretty well, unless it flipped in a way that wouldn't really impact them too much.

how do you not flip it should be the question. a friend of mine has a jeep. and he told me how before when he went 35 mph off freeway ramps. as indicated by the signs he would end up on 2 wheels. he even showed me. it goes on 2 wheels amazingly easy. good thing theirs a roll cage though

Well yea they flip easily, mine has gotten up on two wheels pretty easily, I was just curious to see if there was a good story behind it. I also hear that the stock roll cages are not too strong.

haha that is a ridiculous statement. in the type of accident we are looking at it, the survival of the driver has very little to do with the type of car. at that point its all luck that he happened to collide with the tree in a place that kept the drivers seat from gettin destroyed. i wont comment on whether or not audi's are pieces or not because in this case it didnt really matter. its all luck.  the safety features of a car can only get you so far. after that it's all luck or god or whatever you want to call it.

well about the jeep... i was going about 40 MPH down a grated dirt road on the way to go wheelin in little moab in utah... anyways hit a big ass pot hole twisted us sideways hit the burrow ditch on the side of the road and launched us... and the roll cage it was stock and it snapped in on the bar right behind my head it smaked me silly but i survied me and my buddy both talk about it today.
