why does an unsponsored rider have to cover up the logoes on their skis in a comp?

also, why didn't line pick up philou last year when he was riding their skis anyway? that was a dumb move, letting rossi pick him up

you dont have to cover up their logos, infact companies would love for you to not cover up logos. They would get free advertising. people cover up their logos cuz they dont want to rep the company that they are skiing on, like philou after salomon dropped him. and Line didnt pick up philou because he didnt want to ride for them, he got sent skis from all the major ski companies though and he skied the lines for that comp i guess. But rossi prolly got him the best deal

but he used them the whole year, not just once...so obviously he liked the 12's more than scratches..

but i thought there was a rule you had to cover logoes that aren;t your sponsors?...i don;t know

Sure he liked the skis, but Philou knew he was worth a price to companies. He was playing the field for a good offer, which Rosignol laid down. He needs to make a living, so he did what is best for him. I'm sure Line would have liked Philou on board as well as other companies including K2, but sometime's it comes down to what you have the budget to do.

 
i was at tremblant with sushi the first day philou was out on his new rossis and he told us that he approached them for the deal. he made a killer choice!

as for covering up the logos, no you don't have to cover up the logos but if pipe skiing gets to the olympics they'll have to cover up all logos

Why would they have to cover up their logos for Olympic Halfpipe? All the ski racers don't have to cover up their logos do they?
