I think they’ve definitely fallen off a little since their heyday but they’re adapting to their market which I can respect all the same

I will never buy ski branded clothing because there is none that exists that isn't extremely overpriced

Skiing has no chance of ever being cool so we should focus more on making it fun

Nah I've only been skiing for like two years. I think the difference is that the "golden era" skiers were just doing some dumb fun posturing shit at the ski hill, while some of the guys from Child Labor or Zootspace genuinely think they're punk badasses. Not all of them but definitely some of them. I would watch one of their videos over some golden era shit every time though

tf I typed a full response but it didn't post. 90-96 is the golden range for a park ski. 116 is too much for anything less than 2 feet of fresh show.

I would guess that the percentage of skiers in the 15-25 age range who do stuff like this is likely much much smaller than the percentage of general populace in the same range who do the same or worse.

I’m not really talking about outerwear just hoodies and t shirts like Arsenic or Tall T. I know that you need nicer waterproof stuff sometimes and that’s of course gonna be more expensive. But I won’t buy a $90 ski hoodie when I could buy a $25 band hoodie on literally the exact same blank

I wish this was opinion rather than fact….

events in general are disappearing as the ski industry rethinks how they make money. Free concerts at the base are going away as we saw mass amounts of people come in for free, sneak in their own booze, watch a free show and dip. Same story with free contests. Ive been to x games a few times but didnt spend a cent in pitkin county.

Theres gotta be a reimagine to parks that brings in money.
 
ON3P is garbage and everyone who owns them is too.

Ankilla is the most influential skier in the game right now and has been for some time.

Cy Whitling is a self-proclaimed polymath and everything that’s wrong with social media.

Henrik is not as steezy as AHall, but probably a much better person.

They should make all of LCC reservation only.

Bruh is worse than both those.

I used to say send it a lot but than that inbred larry said it in his viral snowmobile send and it blew up and every Jerry and their mom was saying it as they hit the tail lip to flat. Really ruined it for me.

steezy though… come on that’s still golden age lingo. Makes me think of Guru.
 
99% of outerwear companies pump out the most tasteless ugly bullshit season after season. Orage did it right from around 2013-2016 now they make ugly shit just like the rest. Dont get me started on "syndicate".
 
I actually kinda like it when people dress up all crazy at the hill. Some may save it for only gaper day, but it always seems like these people wearing panda suits and stuff are always having an absolute blast. Love to see this stuff.

I want my ski movies to have rider based segments, good music, and absolute shredding. I don’t want talking, mix sections, extended lifestyle shots, etc.

I want to watch the progressive cutting edge skiing from the best riders in the world. Period.
 
Hearing people talk (out loud, not typed text) about tricks they are going to do/did is like fingernails on a chalkboard to me (particularly in that stoner bro voice). If you made me watch one of those SLVSH videos I think it would be considered a war crime.

Also footage of people who suck at skiing put to awful kindergarten rap music. Actually, even good rap music. If you suck at skiing then put it to something silly. You are not tough. I'm not tough either, that's why there's no accompanying rap music with this post.

I should say more than a minute long. Cause after a minute on IG I get annoyed but I’m just washed up and think content like that should be on YT, NS, and movies should be on Big screens first then YT and NS

ig (and ns) is the place to post ski content of any length (before it was igtv, now the new merged format)

people are seriously sleeping on this, as most people have a following on ig not places like yt and nobody is following through your bio links

the desktop full screen option has been there for a while too

It's better for shipping emissions too.
