Unpopular opinion thread

shit, according to this thread, all my opinions are unpopular. baggy pants are fucking glorious, fuck hesh or whatever you wanna call it. tight pants. dont get me wrong, daniel hanka is a G but i cant stand skinny jeans or tight ski pants.

tanner hall is cool as shit. i dont care how many people he yells at. watch heart of a lion. henrik is dope as shit. hes always having fun and i feel like thats always the goal of skiing. that's why i never understand the hate towards the bunch.

Wu-tang, mobb deep, gang starr are always good shit to ski to, or to live life to.

Tom Wallisch deserves every single ounce of respect that people give him, if you disagree, watch turbo or edits from that 'era'.

Can't stand lil uzi vert or kodak or X or whoever makes music like that.

Kendrick Lamar sucks.

I want to reinforce this. I tried this morning. I went in with an open mind, put on some tracks. It's fucking awful. His voice sounds like he gargled gravel. Like wannabe DMX shitty gritty. His lyrics are fucking terrible. There's nothing clever, nothing artistic, nothing revolutionary about them. They suck. And his beats are atrocious. He's. Not. Good.

Why does everyone lick his chode?

All rap sucks. Listen to metal

the star wars EU was a piece of shit and I'm glad it's not canon anymore. Seriously. A talking fucking mountain on Endor that was always sad and tears could cure battle wounds. Palpatine having clones of himself. Fucking zombies gungans. Fuck off.

oh boy here we go:

-I do not really like most new rap it just does not sound that great and kind of bores me.

-While I don't really watch it there is some decent anime out there (inb4 "op is a fuckin weeb").

-I enjoy the trend side of skiing but most of the people who follow it piss me off especially the whole "fuck you if you don't ski like us" and how its trendy to shit on comp skiers and large companies.

-While I get that they make good skis I feel that people on this sight jerk off On3p way to much sometimes.

time to sit back and wait for shitstorm

Adding on to my previous statement: The pledge of allegiance is pointless and fucking stupid. Americans take flags way too seriously. It's just a piece of colored cloth and you should feel like an idiot for worshipping it.

I know I'm soooo edgy.

I forgot what the pledge of allegiance even was after graduating highschool. You'll never hear it again

The Confederate flag is not even that racist

This is not appropriate for this thread: I agree that the confederate flag is not racist, it is the things that is is associated with that are. Henrik is a bit of a slob but 99% of all ns are in some way, he just pulls it off and is fuckin ill. I agree that gapers in the park aren't to much of an issue now a days. Can be but have improved alot... I wouldn't call those opinions unpopular

i cant figure out if wacko is trying to just be the jossi opposite or not - but its a bit strange for sure

50/50 for unpopular/popular??

I dont understand how some people feel safe not wearing helmets when throwin' down in the park

They still toss nasty shit that I'll watch but it's almost overkill on the style they have.

Helmets are actually much less effective than people think and some argue that they provide a false sense of security, leading to greater injury.

Speaking from my own experience, I'm more aware of my head and falling correctly when I ski without a helmet. It's the same idea as rugby and football, and why football players have so much brain damage. When you have protection, you tend to rely on it instead of avoiding contact/injury altogether which has ramifications that aren't always immediately apparent.

This article is a pretty good jumping off point if you're actually interested:

not wearing a helmet = safer?

i don't think "falling correctly" is going to protect against major head injuries. when your body is tumbling 40 mph down a slope, i don't think your expertise will be of of much use. dumb

I don't see where I said no helmet is safer. I wear a helmet almost everytime I go skiing, you're preaching to the choir. I'm just saying that helmets really aren't that great. A helmet likely would do nothing during a 40mph crash to help against a concussion. Most are rated for 15 mph impacts if I'm not mistaken. I'm not going to act like I'm infinitely knowledgable on the subject but based on what I've read, there isn't much data out there to overwhelmingly support helmet use as definitively safer, especially in a terrain park where the falls are much more serious.

simply it's just more comfortable. I hate chin straps, makes me feel claustrophobic as weird as that sounds, I know a lot of people who feel the same way.

Cool video for anyone interested in this stuff. I almost always wear a helmet but this gave me a new perspective on people that don't. I know it's football but the same ideas definitely apply to skiing falls.

The inflatable helmet thing is pretty damn goofy though lol

I'm with you, why is that unpopular?

Because if you like the warriors or just about any team in sports that has a higher winning percentage than 50% you're a rider on the great band wagon.

Or something like that.

Pretty much sums it up

College isn't about sacrificing one thing for another like everyone says it is. It's relatively easy to party a lot, be involved in clubs, ski/pursue your hobbies, and still do great academically if you're motivated.
