For me it's because I am in a major that is honestly just way too hard for me, I have shitty time management skills, cant study worth shit, and I'm immature and want to be a kid for the rest of my life. In general I want to live a long happy life but I'm watching myself spiral down into a hole of a life that I won't be able to climb out of.

Yeah, I'm kinda cynical.

the reverse discrimination in this country is bullshit. most of the minority screams equality, yet really expect more opportunities than everybody else.

I'm kind of in a similar boat. I'm going for civil engineering and I hate math, but am good at it. But I find myself being super unhappy going to school. I can't focus, I don't wanna do homework, and just getting myself to go to class is a bitch. I get that not everyone likes school, but I absolutely hate it. I dread going every day. I'm extremely close to dropping out at this point, I just don't know what else to do. Right now I work a fast food job, and I definitely don't wanna do that for the rest of my life. But every day I want to just quit school more. At this point it's really a matter of finding something else that I won't hate doing every day and is still gonna be something I can live off.

I don't know if this is so much an unpopular opinion, as much as something that people are afraid to see because they don't want to come off as racist
 
i think manners are one of the worst things society has ever come up with. to be honest i don't know that much about china. from what i have heard though, manners are almost nonexistent there. no one says, please, thank you, sorry. no one ass you how your day was, or make any other small talk. its just straight to business.

an example of where this annoys me, waiting in line in a coffee shop. first the cashier strikes up an long conversation to the person in front of me about nothing of importance. Then its my turn and same thing, how was your day? what do you think of the weather?

god dammit i just want to get my coffee and get out of there. the staff should be focusing on doing nothing but making it properly and quickly.

am i blowing things way out of proportion? yea for sure, but in my perfect world, everyday small talk with strangers simply wouldn't exist.

Same! Actually Idgaf about whatever you have to say, gimme my food or whatever and get on with your life. The only exception is if you are hot, then I will talk to you about your little sisters 5th grade play all day
 
I'm sure that this has already been said, but I really dislike how we designate months to like "Black Awareness" and "Native American Awareness". While I do get that they have been discriminated against, I feel that they should be celebrated all the time, and not just in those designated months.

A lot of skiers are trying way too hard to be creative or unique or stylish.

If you think skateboarding is that cool and better of a sport, just fuckin quit skiing and go skate.

The ski industry is focusing way too much on style. Everyone has style, and your 'stylish' trick should be somewhat difficult.

One thing you gotta remember is the hard worker will always do better than the 'naturally gifted'.

The cool thing is that you can do almost anything with that degree. You could graduate and never encounter the idea of math again for the rest of your life. We had a guest speaker recently in one of my engineering classes who was in the same boat, said he sucked at math, had no clue how he was gonna pull it off. He just worked his ass off, got tutoring, spent extra time, whatever it took. Now he's working on developing newer much safer football helmets and collaborating with pro football teams and players nd shit and loving it.

I definitely feel you though since I'm in the same major, shit's hard. What's your dream or your goal? What're you aiming for career wise?
