I rode up the lift last week with 2 kids decked out in dope snow. They stared at their phones watching tik toks the whole time with volume on. At one point they said “I wish I brought my speaker today.”
 
Limited edition gear is the whackest trend rn

two top sheets for the same ski where one is $300 and ugly but for an extra $200+ you can get the same ski but actually decent looking

just make all the skis with the good graphic

Their price point is insanely fair tbh, especially if you buy their pro models because they don't profit off them lol

eh i think they're pretty much the same as other brands despite not actually having a team and their foregoing of other stuff typical of a ski brand

but grand things is right, i don't need to reopen this discussion, ive talked enough shit on j skis on here lol

last i heard they didn't pay them like normal though, just gave them percentages from their own pro model. basically i think it's wack they act like they're some fledgling startup when they're not. but yeah let's wrap it up ive beaten this dead horse plenty

Went from being stoked about that ski to meh when they said 500 pairs or whatever in certain shops only. I guess that's what I get for moving back to the Midwest but I'm not driving down to Denver to buy skis or hounding my homies at shops back in Tahoe trying to get them to convince their manager to ship them.

I was hoping they'd be a good carving/occasional lap through the park ski. But whatever ill find something else.

It would have been a cool thing if it was mass produced and available at every shop that sells Salomon, which is a lot.

interesting claim, why do you say that? i skied both back in the day but can't remember the difference really. i do remember seeing JP auclair ride them sometimes, probably as a favor to salomon but still yeah it was a fine ski

They did send me skis this season, I wouldn't say a full time athlete but they support my skiing so yeah

Also that's news to me that I'm on their site thats so sick

Damn, sorry to hear that. I have a pair of old Armada's I can send you. Some edge gone in the right ski but still plenty of life left in them.

Side jumping is really not that bad as long as you’re not cutting people off. While side jumpers do seem more likely to do dumb stuff, there’s not really a problem with someone competently riding through the park and just jumping off stuff. I do take issue with people who can barely ride and fall on the takeoffs though that shit is annoying

There was a snowboarder yesterday who rolled over the slushy rail lip and made a huge divot where everyone was taking off. That was kinda annoying

for sure annoying, i just see it as a competence issue rather than a side jumping issue. Like if you wanna learn, go hit the rookie park or go hit some sidehits first
 
Say what you want about jiberish they still get their team together way more often than a ton of other brands, definitely seems like a cool company to ride for
 
It's better than anywhere else I've skied locally (haven't been to woodward or pcmr). But yeah the middle park right above snake consistently sucks

The one under majestic is fine and i think the jumps are the right size, but i wish they had a second set of jumps at the bottom of the park instead of 4 at the top

Just finally been at my job long enough to have pto saved up for the season and working extra hours all winter for more time off. Plus I work in a government office so can pretty much take off whenever

This is kinda true, its just not quickly lap-able like the bird. Taking Hcomb return to Apex to Summit is so overkill for the terrain
