2 on 2 off on a dfd is always beast, Hanka dresses like a middle aged lady and just airs over rails or does cringe butters
 
I actually don’t give a fuck if anyone wears montec, dope, ruroc, etc.

Most outerwear companies and ski brands in general are soulless. They are owned by people who don’t ski. They all have factories overseas to save $$$. It’s an illusion of choice.

Yeah the brand is run by one guy in SLC right now. He makes basic designs to order and can also make you customs as he has access to a lot of shapes + profiles

I think it actually looks cool and smooth, but he’s definitely not really pressing.

Somehow it looks more purposeful and cool than like a fake/shitty “switch tail butter 2 on”.

it looks like he just does an on snow 3 but i mean you can tell from his body positioning that his weight is like entirely being pressed into the noses. i think that’s why people came to his defense when his “buttering technique” was being questioned.

Shit on this opinion all you want but I do genuinely find it hard to root for candide and call him the goat or whatever. Raw skiing mastery only goes so far for me, you gotta not only add flavor but also be a person worth caring about, and I don’t really know shit about candide from his videos and insta.

If ur into that sort of thing I guess it’s cool. Idk I heavily place my biases on skiers I like rather than who’s actually better, a lot of people do that too tho. If everyone cared about raw rail skill everyone’s favorite skier would be like Jesper tjader or any of those like rail tech wizards but one scroll through this site and you’ll notice that’s not true. I don’t think it’s a bad thing either just something I’ve noticed and also do myself.

most of those super quick fpv drone shots everyone is doing nowadays don`t do it for me. some are okay at best but mostly not adding anything over standard angles like steady shots, follow cams, povs etc.

As a guy who makes videos, I agree. I really don't care about drone shots for angles of the skier doing a stunt. It's an unnatural perspective for humans and is weird on the brain. I DO think drone shots add value for establishing shots or an overview of the area/jump/landscape.

Keep in mind that normies love drone shots and eat that shit up.

yeah totally, like slow panning overview shots are obviously really nice to look at and add cinematic value, but i feel like the squirrely fpv chasing behind the skier while doing 3 barrel rolls is just not it

This happens in surfing too. The top down perspective is so bad. You can't tell if the wave is 1ft or 10ft, or basically anything about how a turn was actually performed. I get why this isn't done for surfing, but for skiing it should be used as a really dynamic follow cam more or less close to the ground. They need to hire one of those drone racer people to film. A scenic overlook is nice, but even then they need to be not looking straight down, otherwise the scene has no depth

But yeah, normies adore drone footy. Every time I surf there's randos filming us surfing or just the ocean with the drones. Then they go on insta and they're like I'm Bob's ocean media Co, like and follow our page for s t u n n i n g drone footy and content. Like yeah, we needed another shot of a drone looking down and gaining altitude to reveal more of the landscape. Spoiler alert: it's the ocean, it's all water.

In like 2008 ramped slow mo was the greatest thing skateboarding had ever seen lol. The internet was littered with tutorials on how to ramp slow mo in whatever version of Premier was popular at the time.

Iphones do it automatically if you shoot in slow mo, except the slow mo is way too slow for most things.
