I have 2 friends who bought the descendant style full tilts in the past few weeks. Both have bent or broken the lower buckle in the first 2 days of riding, and one who had the white B&E's somehow blew out both forward adjustment locks on day 1.

This is in addition to another friend who cracked the whole toe off his high 5's, and numerous buckles me and my other roomate have broken on our classic shells

between the 5 of us I'd say full tilts are pretty shit.

I've got the descendants too. I also broke the mid buckle and bent two or three other buckles within 5 days during preseason, but luckily bc.com hooked me up with a new pair.

fuck full tilts, I'm never buying them again

Not really an excuse. Serious companies do tons or durability testing before releasing a new model so they don't have issues like full tilt does.

I can visualize it now. Walking 100 yards across a gravel lot and then hucking their boots 3 feet in the air into the back of a pickup truck. Boots are not indestructible.
 
I enjoy shitty little ski hills. Even more so I like their shitty little parks with janky features over bigger mountains or places with a proper park (when they aren't skating rinks).

Pros who purposefully trash their skis by riding around on concrete and jokingly skiing down stairs are priveledged douchebags. It's just a less obvious way of saying " I get free skis and you don't, so I'm going to destroy something you would love to have, but can't afford."

Definitely think that will be unpopular but, I'm happy to agree, I think that in comps you shouldn't really be able to win with a tindy grab. In Dew tour anyone misses a grab they get seem to get killed on points, a lot of the time when they were trying to get proper blunt. Dollo just does a dirty tindy and apparently its all g.

This got me triggered.

I got a couple hot takes though:

-Backslides with nothing else added in are really boring at this point

-Sam Zahner is a really boring skier to watch with no style on jumps

-Oystein and Jesper both have impeccable, consistent style

-there are lots of no name random kids who are better at park than candide and tanner, saying they're the best all around seems to forget this (Sammy C is more well rounded imo)

-skiing takes itself way more seriously than snowboarding and skating which sucks, more people like Wabs and Steve Stepp are needed

No poles is the worst trend ever. I absolutely love the way it looks when it's done right, but 90% of skiers look like garbage without them (myself included)

Is no poles a trend? I ride no poles because I think its easier in the park? trend almost implies people only do it to be up with the latest rather than for functionality . So what is riding with no poles done right? I mean there are either in your hands or there not? And just to be clear I'm not attacking your opinion I'm just trying to clarify your point

Yeah it's true that the majority u and me included look pre bad without poles but I still prefer not using them...Eating shit with poles (even if they have no straps) kinda sucks tbh. This guy I know broke his nose cause of poles.
 
Safety grabs on the part of your ski underneath your boot should be called boot grabs. Safety grabs should be at least at your binding or further up.
