Unnatural

no tips at all you gotta just start doing it, eating shit will be part of that. i spent an entire season skiing rails unnatural and got to the point where i could sometimes front 4 and often back 2 off easier rails.

To do unnatural trick the best is not to think about it too much if you able to do it left you’re probably able to do it right or vice versa be confident

Start VERY small, work your way up, be patient, don’t freak out, look at the end of the rail, and practice a shit ton. Last year I made a point to always warm up with all four 270s off, which was hard at first but by the end of the year I had them all dialed. Get the motion down on boxes, then go to slower rails, and then long rails.

i remember there was this one keystone edit like 10 years back where somebody used this trick to mirror a blind 6 off a relatively tall rail. that was back when tons of people skied keystone, so folks figured out pretty quickly just based off of the other rails in the background that the clip had been mirrored. they gave him so much grief, it was pretty funny

For sliding rails unnatural start with a small flat rail, and once you get comfortable try to hit as many different type of rails as possible, and eventually as many rails as you can in one run. The key is to do it a lot at first and everytime you ski. Unnatural on rails is very fun once you get the hang of it, but you just gotta do it a lot at first so it becomes more natural

Hitting rails natty all the time can make it weird to go unnat at first. If ur normally RF forward, that right foot with be dominant so focus on putting the majority of your weight on the other foot when hitting unnat because i’ve been doing it for a while and still sometimes feel like im leaning back too much. Other than that. Lots of practice and learn unnat 360’s

I found myself stopping more often in the same direction I slide rails. So I started stopping more the other direction just so my brain wasn’t focused only on balancing one way. This is obviously a minor thing but a good first step in getting more comfortable sliding both ways. Maybe I’m crazy but it helped me
