I've been told that unlocking a Verizon phone to use on any other network is virtually impossible, especially if you want to use it on a GSM network. And this website claims to do it.

I'm asking bc I might buy a droid for dirt cheap from a friend and I want to unlock it and use it, but I don't have Verizon so I want to know if it's actually possible first.

I doubt the legitimacy of the site. It is aimed at European droids because all networks their run on gsm you can't get a verizon droid to run on any other us networks

buying it from a friend for like 20 bucks just bc he doesn't want it, and i dont have verizon

not possible with a verizon droid, but you can buy an unlocked droid milestone(same exact phone but for gsm networks)

this site is to unlock gsm phones to use on other gsm networks. you cant take a verizon phone and make it work with a gsm network. its completely different.
