The winch will make a major comeback and natural speed spots won't be cool anymore, it will be all-about the winch and hitting big trannys. People will be emulating what Stept and Leigh Powis were doing in 2012. The HPX will be replaced by the DSLR with the glidecam

I love stept but ngl glidecams in skiing were(mostly)awful.

Double cork onto rail is a common slopestyle trick.

The world continues to not give a shit about snow skating. Still no sanctioned events or allowing us to compete in snowboarding events or allowing us to come under the umbrella of their governing bodies.

Men's/women's classes are a thing of the past. Either it's open/women's or a third class is added to mens/womens/open.

A group of core freeskiers breaks off and starts their own governing body.

Ski racing tries to rebrand itself to appear more cool but it doesn't really work.

Banked slalom snowboarding gains traction in becoming an Olympic Sport.

Diversity becomes less of a discussion and more of a norm.

It becomes super trendy to start freestyle skiing/snowboarding nonprofits.

- Utah and colorado will be played out as fuck and people will move to Minnesota to ski

- People will care more about street skiing than park skiing

- Eheath will have a heart attack

- Crawdaddy will turn into a liberal

- Schizoskier stops being annoying

- On3p and vishnu become so big that people start hating on them

- Film cameras become hot

- Women will be doing quads

- Mt hood spring pass becomes too popular

- Hayden beninghoffen and ben parnell become the most respected filmer duo

- Jems starts a shoegaze band that gets 1000 monthly listeners on spotify

It's not that I don't. I do love them. But these fuckin halfmoon plates gotta stop breaking dude holy shit. I can't bitch really because my Kartels with white 18s are somehow still holding up

I wonder if it a more recent qc issue, I feel as though it is only the newer pivots I have seen have this issue with. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong :9

You're probably right. Brand new pivots in 2018 broke both crescents after 3 seasons. My older pivots from sometime before 2017 no problem but the toe piece broke. This year's pivots we'll see but I'm done buying them because STH2s click in/out better and can adjust while being just as safe.

I have yet to have any issues on any of my pairs (I weight about 47 pounds to be fair), but I have seen maybe 5ish friends break theirs this season. I don't remember/don't know of it happening before. I honestly love the look of the pivot, since i was tiny i always wanted them, but I will have to see if my new one hold up as well as the older ones.

I imagine I will be sticking with the pivot platform for a while as i ski cast kits.

I personally identify as the new Snowbird tram. Up-hill capacity and time of ride is unmatched.

Damn I hope not. I like natty speed spots. Hpx/hvx footage is quite common these days but I'll always prefer fisheye follow cams over DSLR glidecam shots.
