Anybody here have a working knowledge of unix based stuff, or experience in terminal?
I'm wanting to learn command prompt stuff, but don't wanna eff up my computer whilst in the process.
I know a few basic commands (pwd, ls, cd) but am kinda wanting to learn more about it, and the whole reason and what exactly I can do with it.
 
What is your ultimate goal? Just more knowledge of the system in general or is there something in particular you are trying to do?
 
More knowledge mostly, I know that it's just another way of interfacing with the OS, but I'd like to have some knowledge of using it, because I know there are things you can do with command line that just aren't possible in the normal OS X view ( I think it's referred to as aquarium or something?).
So yeah, just want to have a fuller knowledge base of the system in general.
