I am thinking of applying there, can anyone who goes/went there tell me what it's like? And also, how nearby is the skiing, and how good is it?

I'm only a senior right now and going to by applying there. The skiing is pretty good. You're about right in the middle of Steven's Pass and Snoqualmie, which I ski at now and I like.

I live in Washington. You have the Summit-at-Snoqualmie and Crystal Mountain. It depends on what type of skiing you like. Snoqualmie for park and Crystal for pow!

my friends sister goes there, she really likes it and says its a good skool, shes also an alcohalic total pothead too

several people on here (myself included) go to UW. the school itself is pretty good, especialy in some fields where it really excels.

like mentioned, its about 1½+ hours to stevens pass (which is good stuff) and about an hour to snoqualmie pass.

overall, not super close, but the skiing can be excellent, with decent parks and usually large amounts of snow, and the school itself is not too shabby

i'm going to be a freshman at UW this fall. good medical program, big D1 school atmosphere, semi-close to skiing, very close to downtown Seattle...i dont really know what specifics you are looking for about the school but if you think of any questions feel free to send a message.

i chose UW after applying to western, montana and CU boulder

Yeah, I'm a senior majoring in Biology at UW. I love it, amazing medical school to do undergrad research at, sweet campus, rowdy greek system, lots of money from Microsoft excecs that fund programs and buildings, and lots of fun stuff to do outside of school. You have the ave to shop and eat thats a minute walk from the school, and downtown is a short free bus ride away. Its also Puget Sound, which is beyond beautiful.

The skiing here is great, about an hour to the closest place, but we have Stevens Pass, Crystal and Snoqualmie within a two hour drive. Great powder and backcountry, parks are getting there. Off season you have Lake Washington for wakeboarding and all, and the Cascades and Olympic ranges for hiking, as well as some large volcanoes that have snow year round. Its also a great location to do a ski road trip from: Baker, Hood and Whistler weekends are completely do-able. I'd say do it, and talk to me if you want the low-down on how to live near the UW.

go to the dub yo, u will possibly meet cool folk like me therefore meeting many other spectacular individuals. skiing is dope too. there are lots of orientals too
