University of victoria wellington

hey does anyone go to/know anything about the university of victoria wellington? i'm hopefully gonna be doing a study abroad there in the fall

noice. im currently at massey in wellington, so i cant really tell you much about vic. apart from that they have some sweet parties at weir house (one of the halls). what course were you planning on doing?

to be honest, vic is more of a law school. massey is known to have a really strong design/arts department, and their fine arts degree is supposedly really good

I studied at vic last spring. it was awesomeeee - but partly because it was so much easier than my home uni. I only took 3 100-level courses while I was there, but they were all foreign to me - a nz history class, maori class, and nz politics. I'd suggest taking classes like that, that you can't take at home (if you can. I know my friends took chemistry and math classes in order to graduate on time, which sucks to have to do real work when you're abroad). but ya, the campus is above the city on the hill, which makes for some sweet views. it's easy to get around campus and on windy/cold/rainy days there are all sorts of bridges and tunnels connecting all the buildings.
there's wicked good coffee in the student union in the cafe bookstore. the "quad" was pavement, and we didn't hang out there much besides waiting for friends, but they have free food sometimes in the quad from the student govt. O-Week is pretty fun too - lots of events going on and mad parties. I head they have a baller line up for this years O-Week with tons of concerts, including MGMT.
hit me up if you have any questions. I had a blast there. going to school and living in wellington is definitely a good choice - you're right in the heart of NZ and able to get places fairly easily.
