University of Redlands vs CU Boulder

The past 8 years I've loved being able to ride keystone and breck, but I also love Southern California and Bear Mountain! I really can't decide which one I like more.... I'm going to be majoring in Government/Political science, and would like to get some input on both of the schools from a skiers POV.

my younger sister went to the university of redlands and i had to go to her graduation

its just dry, hot as fuck, and the area surrounding the campus other than like one street is low income and sketchy

i was sick of being there after a day

Spend a Saturday during Jan or Feb at Bear, and you'll want to be back in Colorado, plus Summers in Redlands, no thanks.

haha idiot.

CU for out of state is near 50k a year, for honestly not that great of access of skiing. Seriously its what like 2 hours with traffic? I know Boulder is really dope, but its also so overpriced for cost of living there, but college is going to be fun regardless and there are plenty of other options that you could ski at.

I have a friend who goes to Redlands, PM if you're seriously considering it and I'll get you his contact info. That being said I have friends who go to Boulder and they absolutely love it. They're very different schools though.

Bear is fun. I've never skied anywhere else though. Redlands is muggy, dry, hot and ghetto. Good college, but in the ghetto. I guess you could have fresh strawberries all the time though, and oranges if you go there. Don't go there if you want to ski though. 38 also gets closed a lot.

Fuck that dry southern Calif. Redlands BS. I grew up in so cal so I know. Go to UC Davis up north. They have a kick ass ski club or stick with Boulder. You will feel like the melting witch from, The wizard of oz," if you move to Redlands!!

that's not the ghetto, go visit USC, now that is in the ghetto. How many Redlands students have been shot compared to USC students? Just saying.

meh, I'm at pomona, which is further away from skiing than redlands, and I don't think its all that bad. Its all about how hard you wanna work to go skiing. With pretty much any socal university, there'll be a weekly trip to mammoth, just jump on it.

Go wherever you want, and you'll find a way to ski. Don't choose a college based on skiing

Pomona is one of the very few places that is ok. As someone who has spent pretty much every summer in the past 8 or so years living all over SoCal I will say almost all of it sucks. People are like "I love SoCal." No, you love the beach in San Diego because 90% of SoCal is dirt, 8% is downtown LA, and the remaining 2% is the coast.

boooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Thanks for the input, guys! +k Right now I'm leaning towards CU because of the top ranked political science program.. However, if I get into Claremont McKenna, I'm for sure going to be in SoCal next year!
