University of montana

it is terrible unless you have a bunch of snow which is usually like once or twice a season and then all the dirty telemark hippies go and track everything out unless you know all the hot spots but it still isnt that sweet.
 
yeah MSU is a better school academically and skiing wise. If your all about parties and football and frats, go to U of M.
 
currently im living in missoula and going to UM. it's alright but here are some def things ive leanred in my two months here:

1) snowbowl is the closest thing about 20 minutes away

2) everyone telemarks

3) its near impossible to get a job anymore except for donating plasma and sperm

4) I'm kinda pissed because I'm from the East coast and fucking Killington has already gotten a snowfall and we havent gotten shit...
 
Calm breathe easy, i have been a Missoula resdent for 12 years, and lets say this. Do what im doing this year and move to Whistler peace bitches.

seriously MSU hands down more snow better skiing, but really boring (sorry.) We do party excesivly here. the cool part about any town that you pick their is still plenty of skiing even though Bozeman does have the upper hand. Plus a Cat-Griz game at Washington-Grizzley Stadium is a once in a life time experience, espiacaly if a your a student at the Uof M.
 
However, if you do decide to go to UofM, you can go to Big Mtn if you want... but personally I am going to MSU for Big Sky and Bridger
 
That's quite the drive to go to Big Mountain from Missoula! Isn't that 120 miles on highway 93 or something like that?
 
It really depends on what your looking for, I've been in "zoo" town my whole life and you can always find good snow with about an hour and thirty min drive, mabey with the exeption of last year. U Of M...def mad parties for sure, handrails...some dooable and we have an ice rink so we can score snow, if you like climbing and biking and kyaking along with skiing missoula is the shit.
 
^No def not, bozeman and the surrounding area have some sick backcountry shit. Plus the ridge offers some pretty gnarly stuff.
 
you cant spell dUMb without UM snowbowl sucks monkey nuts. also the smell of wood pulp makes me want to puke missoula is a shit hole.
