does anyone here attend Hartford or are looking to?

any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated as i may be going there next year
 
my friend John goes there, he seems to enjoy it. I've never been, but I imagine that most of the kids are stereotypically Connecticut.
 
I have a buddy who goes there. He says theres a bunch of lax bros and rich white girls who are easy to sleep with. Does that sound good to you? You have to take the yin with the yang i guess...
 
My sister's boyfriend goes there, basically all he does is smoke weed and eat Berry Line. Their system of "concentrations" is a little strange, but I guess if you actually go there it becomes normal. Besides, you can learn some weird ass shit while still actually learning normal stuff. He's in the pre-med school, but has a concentration in Germanic languages, definitely odd, but it's a hell of an education.
 
Oh yea and as a freshman theres a 95% chance your dorm will fucking suck. They just built a new housing unit a few years ago which is supposed to be super nice, but aside from that it sucks.

although you will have a higher GPA coming out of uhart if you are reasonably smart, you will not have a comparable education to the other connecticut private colleges. uconn (although not private) easily takes fat, fat dumps on it - as does wesleyan, connecticut college, trinity, etc.

i'd say the only comparable college to uhart would be wcsu (surprisingly a private school). i took a kaplan course in the afternoons at uhart this past winter and the campus is overall bummy. nothing is really new, just older brick bummage. it's a smaller, boring campus. the student union is a dumpstation. although it is located in a nice, richer section of hartford, you're literally one bridge away from the shittiest part of hartford. ALBANY AVE SON REPRESENT

what it comes down to: if you go to hartford, you're literally paying out your ass for a mediocre experience, and an even worse education. way better off going to uconn. check the facts.
 
You forgot to mention that it's a much better school than Yale. Yale is probably one of the worse academic institutions in Connecticut.
 
Everyone who goes there is chill its a good school for meeting cool people and not having to chill with dooshbags.

I am 10 years older than you I graduated hs in 03 (fucking weird) so it miiiggght have changed. But I doubt it. You'll meet chill kids there.

Its not a bad school either its just in the northeast where there is a shit ton of amazing institutions left right and center which most people couldn't dream of getting into.
