so it comes time for me to figure out what university i plan to go to next year. Basically i have narrowed it down to Guelph or Ottawa. Programs aside, whats the skiing like around Guelph, and does anyone go to Guelph who rides at blue?

i will take all related info. thanks.

I gotta a bunch of friends who work at Blue and go to Guelph... Guelph was actually one of my top picks for this year but I never got my acceptance letter... there are a bunch of people who go to school there adn head up to Blue on the weekends!

I believe kalo goes there, or at least lives there, and he skis at blue. It's a good couple of hours from blue by car, and theres no other even remotely good skiing around there.

I'd go to ottawa. I was going to go to carleton.. it was going to be perfect; great city, easy to get around, skiing is about 15 mins away from the city, tremblant is only an hour and a bit away, tons of rails, tons of local skiers, and they gave me a big scholarship... but it didint work out because thier engineering program doesnt have what i want. If you have the chance to live there and go to school there and you are happy with Uottawa's program that you'd be entering, then go to ottawa, no question about it! If guelph has something better, then go there, dont compromise the next 40 years of your working life for 4 years of a little more fun.

to be honest... I wanted Carleton (and got it but picked GC) outta high school and after spending this past weekend in Ottawa and 1.5 yrs at Georgian College I wish I had taken Carleton... This time around I wanted Guelph but got Brock so we'll see how this works out...

Ottawa is a wicked city SO much fun... Guelph is super wicked too its a toughy

If you drive like a madman :)

Blue is 1:30 from newmarket, and guelp is about an hour south of newmarket, which makes 2:30 unless you know some shortcut, if you do, telll meee!

Mauii you head up hwy 50 nad Airport road you dont come all the way back to the 400... its less then 2 hrs to Blue...
