Alot of bratty spoiled kids there, and the party scene includes the same ratty bars all the time. I came from Connecticut and I definitely didn't come to CO to live in Denver. Boulders definitely sweeter.

how did u rent a car if ur going into college, u gotta be like 18 now. and you cant rent a car till 23-25 years old for insurance purposes.

DU is private. so yeah no such things as instate. Boulder is better for partying, Mines for academics, unless your into liberal arts. I believe there is better educations though to be had for cheaper.

^oh didnt know that... boo on private costs

if you can't get the out of state waiver, public schools can be just as much as private schools, or pretty near. for example, it would have costed me 16,000 a year to go to Pacific Lutheran with my scholarships. The university of washington is about that much and it's public, and that's in state.

Denver= Private $30,000 for everyone

Boulder=Public $34,000 out of state

I have heard amazing things about DU as far as education goes. Boulder is only 30 minutes away if it's partying you're worried about, although Denver has a much more diverse night life. It all depends on what you want, DU is a smaller school so you would get more personal attention, but you would meet more people at CU. It's a decision that should be based on your personality, but it's true that DU is less expensive for out of state kids.

^^Uh...NO. Boulder has one of the highest costs of living in the United States. Where exactly are you planning on living for free? Plan on spending upwards of $750 a month for a halfway decent place to live off campus. That doesn't include food and probably not even utilities, so it is at least $1,000 a month to live off campus. Also many leases are for a full year so that adds up too. That $20,000 is still at least $10,000 too low.

Spend $1000 a month on a place to live, and you're too stupid to be in college. You can find much cheaper places to live here. In addition, nobody can give their opinion unless they go to CU, otherwise they're talking out of their ass.

We have an old saying down on the bayou....Blehhhhh!!!

listen up bitches.

it's $36,375 including tuition, room, and board to go to DU for one year regardless of in/out of state. damn private schools.

it's $28,372 including tuition, room, and board for an out of state student to attend CU.

it's $3696 for just tuition for a year for those in-staters at CU. that's damn cheap and is why I go to CU.

$37,000 A YEAR? If I was going to spend that much money on school I gurantee you it wouldnt be Denver University more like Pepperdine University.

Don't be chickens and come to Mines

i was lookin at cu for grad school, i was getting so jealous for the different tuition bills...how long does it take to live in co. be considered instate? i've lived out there for like 4 months, is it worth chillin out there for a year or so to get that in-state rate?

no matter how hard you shake and dance, the last few drops go in the pants

my bro goes to du and he likes it a lot. there are some snobby kids there but some are cool and rich and let you mooch from them. plus theres some good rails on campus

yeah but they're still in school until the end of may while i'm done may 4th and out enjoying summer/snagging a better job.

Ok so my point was that there is no way CU out of state is $20,000 if you live off campus

they were probably talking about just tuition for each school.

If you aren't a complete dumbass, you can find places to live in Boulder that are TIGHT for around 500 a month off the hill, and about 6-700 for on the hill.

Or you could come to Bishop's, get an equal, if not better, education for a fraction of the tuition costs (mine is aprox 5000 dollars a year, Canadian). The most expencive rez at B.U. is $500 a month (the least expencive is $350) and good off campus housing runs an avrage of about $375 a month. the whole area is littered with ski hills and the drinking age is 18. At those prices and those benifits, i cant see how people would want to not come here!

Is finding a place in Boulder going to be hard to find? I am looking for a 1 bedroom preferably, but 2 bedroom, as close to campus as I can get.

no, you'll be able to find a place pretty easy in boulder, just get on it now. if you wait right before school starts you may have some trouble.
