University and skiing whistler

i go to uvic and ski whistler on the weekends but it is a bit of a hike to get here. UBC is in the city, as is SFU and there are a ton of other schools in the vancouver/north van area that you could apply to depending on your program. you can also do a lot online now though thompson rivers...

I do! I learned to ski there, this is the first in 14 seasons that I haven't had a pass haha. we just switched to whistler this year because it is bigger and we have a place here now. wash is amazing though, i miss it

yes. it's about 2 hours away. you can hitchhike up/down if you need. you can get a student pass for $400 and the ubc ski club has a lodge with cheap rooms there

Go into arts anywhere and you'll have time to ski. Hell, here's to saving you some cash; go to VCC or sprott-shaw.

You'll also have $30-50k of student debt and no way to pay it off other than working crappy retail jobs after :)

yeah. not gonna lie, a BA is a great degree to get if you like to ask yourself "career-wise, wtf am I going to do with this"on the other hand it does make your brain better at knowing stuff, thinking, and writing essays. also if you want to go on jeopardy--bingo.

Uvic eh? Me too.
And I have a whis pass and head up there on weekends too. If we island folk can make it out there, you can too at any van university. I am technically in arts though, so that might have an impact on my free time haha.

I go to school and ski Whistler on the regular. And I'm doing a master's in Toronto. Haha, it's a cheap pass if you're a student and open after exams (I finish the winter semester on april 10th). I'll probably have 60 or 70 days at Whistler this year, while living in downtown Toronto.
