im looking for some universities in canada that would allow me to ski, for example UBC

any other universities you can think of?

where is that?

Bishops is an amazing school from what I have heard. Also Montreal has some great schools and is my favourite Canadian city by far. You can find much better skiing in Canada then UBC

its in kamloops man such a nice campus offer quite a few courses so stoked to go there hopefully play on the volleyball team and get some skiing in

good skiing? I'd say Calgary or BC. Carleton University[ottawa] has a really good ski/board club they do weekly trips [what i hear]

im trying to get early acceptance this year for g11 so it will be two years and it depends if they want me for the volleyball team or not and good choice my friend looks ill

uhh no idea. i know UBC has 2 campuses, vancouver and okanagan but van would be closest to skiing i think... not sure i've never been so..

I'm at TRU and it's nice here, Kamloops is nothing like Montreal (I grew up there), but Sun Peaks is really close and it's super easy to get anywhere else like revvy, big white, silverstar, where ever you want.

My bad I meant to say is there alot of parties and drinking at tru cuz I'm looking at going there but I was just wondering cus that important haha

depends who you hang out with if you want house parties... there is always something going on either at some house, in rez, or at any of the bars downtown, and heroes is on campus too and I think every university has something like "thirsty thursdays"

Not really, It's an hour by car so probably an hour and a half by bus. But you're not going to get much closer than that really. I'm starting at SFU tomorrow so I'm hoping I have enough time to get up there a few times a week but we'll see.

in the quebec area you have access to a lot of skiing; some good, some bad though.

near montreal you have concordia, mcgill, bishops, queens and if you speak french, universite de montreal..

COME TO DARTMOUTH!

We own our own ski hill, we invented college skiing, and we are starting a student run park crew (skiers running it, I might add).

Dartmouth has need-blind admissions, so wherever you come from (read:canada) and whatever your means are, you will be admitted based only on merit. The college guarentees that it will meet your demonstrated need through grant aid. You only have to take a 2,000 dollar/year student loan.

Also its near Montreal, Boston, and NYC. 45 mins from Killington, 1 hr 15 mins from Stowe. E

very major under the sun. And the best people I've ever met in my entire life.

pm me and I can answer any questions, and I'll put you in touch with friends that work at the admissions office.

you might get kinda sick of kamloops. but sun peaks is cool i guess. sometimes i had more fun driving the road from the highway turn off to the mountain then i did skiing there. i think i drove that road in about 18 minutes once. if you get a sled, you got some pretty awesome terrain up in clearwater and blue river, but don't let old man wiegele catch you.

you should research that. since school work in uni is going to require research. maybe you should get used to it.

U vic- also a great party school, but you should just go to ubc with me, ubc has a house up at whistler where you can stay for 25 a night

Grouse, Seymour and Cypress are all only 45ish minutes away (it really varies with traffic) from UBC's vancouver campus. Both Grouse and Seymour have solid parks, night skiing and pretty cheap passes. If there is no traffic it is possible to make it to whis in just over 1 1/2 hours and you get to stay at the UBC hostel... plus with the student whistler pass it may be the only time you can afford to ski there ($500 if you get it early). And van has a lot more to do than Kamloops/Kelowna besides skiing too

sfu is in vancouver just like ubc. its just as close to whistler. and both are close to grouse and seymour which have some super sick night skiing.

UBC OKANAGAN.
-live in kelowna-study at a beautiful new, state-of-the-art campus -45 minutes from big white + silver star-1 hour from apex-2.5 hours from revy, sun peaks etc-close to vancouver/coast mountains.
