Uninformed Ski Testers

his review on the salomon lord confused me. di he really think that a wider waist would help your lanings on jumps ("when you're up there doin 7's and whatnot")

Meet Kevin, Jeffs older brosef

apparantly he "recommends the z12 for park and pipe junkies" you guys better hop on that

and nomensteve those were hilarious hahahahah

The term "FAT" as he used it could go either way. Thickness, or width since it really isn't a technical term, sure some companys brag about fat bases in regards to the thickness, but lets not be retarded here. Fat can also mean wide. The base, as you yourself have described it has a thickness and a width.

However my complaint with your nit picking was two fold,

The waist is the center width, the dimensions of the ski were increased at shovel, waist, and tail. Not only the waist.

Obviously a thicker base isn't gona give you more than the mm's of float the new thickness is, so by fat we can safely assume he must have have been describing the base's overall width, not only the waist width like you called him out.

if you're gona nitpick...

Not trying to start some sort of stupid NS fight, but really? really? Look what Minnesota has been doing the past two years...

haha best part for me was on the Lord review at 0:21 "gonna give you a little bit more ERROR relief when you're landing. you know its good tail...tail stphehh" What?!?

I'm pretty sure that's not Boyne Mountain, But it definitely looks like it's in MI. And the SFB actually does pretty well in the NLP (northern lower peninsula). A really good friend of mine has had a pair since they first came out, and believe it or not, that ski can rip on ice and shit, he actually uses them for his beer league races, which he does switch. But at Nubs we've gotten a few good storms over the years and i would say its kinda lame. I'm from the town Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob are in and I've got hellbents and have put them to good use. just because we have small hills doesn't mean we don't get a little bit of good snow here and there. I've skied knee-waist deep up in the up where i go to school.

omg steves bio is the most epic fail ever. he has a fucking stuffed penguin that he rides with everyday strapped to his jacket...

just listen to every bio. theyre all madd epic fails. all i keep hear is " i raced for 10 years, i raced for 8 years, i skied for 100 years, dont make it into the park much, i love working in the shop"

tools. fail fail fail

Not trying to suggest that these guys know anything about skis/skiing... but hating on them because they dont ski park is retarded.

no i'm hatin cause every single tester seems to have the exact same pedigree. they were a racer and now they shred groomers fast all day. theres no variety in their testers.

i'd like to add to that......

not only is there no variety but all of these racers and guys that haven't made it into the park shouldn't be giving advice on park skis then! just my .02

Oh alright, i'm a lot closer to the highlands and nubs because harbor springs is ma hometown so i don't really go to the mountain much.
