undershoot or overshoot??

definatly undershoot cause even tho you look like a pussy, unless you have rubber knees like simon dumont, you're fucked on big jumps.

Undershoot for sure. I overshot a jump this year and got a wicked concussion. A bunch of people got killed this year overshooting jumps. That shit is serious. Unfotunately it could very well be the downfall of terrain parks with resorts getting sued.

I think rails in general are just a phase. - Anthony Boronowski

Ya id have to say overshoot

Fighting for peace is like fucking for virginity.

'A BUNCH OF PEOPLE GOT KILLED OVERSHOOTING THIS YEAR' umm how many is a bunch, i know of one..

*&^^%%$$#$#$#$#%^^^

Im right and thats the bottom line...

i don't really know. on some jumps it's okay to overshoot, but others can mean death. and undershooting make syou look like a pansy. i'll go with undershooting though, less chance of dying

overshoot blatently. It looks like your good when you overshoot especially on a big jump. Undershooting hurts more anyways.

over shooting is way scarier... and it hurts moe.. so... i choose the other one

Depends on what you mean by overshoot, if you land far down the transition, then thats probably better than casing. But if you mean overshoot as in landing flat, its def better to undershoot, cause either way its a flat landing, except the air and height on the overshoot will hurt way more

definitely undershoot. by far. unless its one of those tables with a big gap/pit of death in between the takeoff and landing. undershoot on one of those and you're running face first into a hardpacked wall of snow.

I would much rather overshoot cuz when you knuckle you can wind up bouncing all the way down the landing anyways. and then its like both. plus you can get ready for overshoots.

mega mega bump here

but it all depends on how much you over/undershoot. as long as you dont take the jump flat, overshooting is still salvagable. knuckling kills the knees and heels every time.

also, undershooting is embarassing, overshooting just proves youre a crazy fuck and you dont care and youre hardcore. well, sometimes.

If your going to have to either overshoot or undershoot you might as well go all out and overshoot like a boss. Overshooting get way more respect hahah

Overshoot.

Cos 99% of the time with an undershoot it's your own fault for being a pussy and not sending it. At least if you go deep you were probably balls-out hucking it rather than some wimpy 5-speedcheck failbomb.

I'm always really annoyed at myself if I case.

would you rather be mike wilson or simon dumont?
But seriously unless your overshooting by a stupid amount I would rather overshoot, lading a few meters down the landing is better than hitting the knuckle...

I would rather overshoot a little than undershoot a little, but would rather undershoot a lot than overshoot a lot. Concussions are the worst.

Overshoot, and I ripped my ACL off the bone last year overshooting the fuck out of a 7. Undershooting bad almost gives me a heart attack, you can tell as soon as you go off the jump that you aren't going to make it and my heart just drops, it is so much scarier. At least with overshooting you can brace for it and open up and such. Also, it does look alot more bad ass, face it, bad ass or not being bad ass, which would you take? And also, I almost only overshoot when I am going to land switch, and everyone knows that landing switch is alot easier/ less risky when overshooting than landing forwards.

The thought of overshooting and looking down like 30 feet while flying through the air just sucks. But I would probably choose overshoot cause it's cooler

It depends on jump size doesn't it?

The biggest jump I've ever hit was like a 60 and the landing is huge so I couldn't really imagine overshooting. What is all this talk about bouncing down the landing, I've seen videos, but how mug does the jump really have to be. I'd rather land semi-flat on a huge jump then knuckle that huge jump and do multiple inverts.......down the landing.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you could do that to your own posts. Although you're first post does pretty much end this thread.

Undershoot seems less violent on that kind of jump

wow... an old baby... right here.... one of my noob threads from way back in 04

but this season i over shot to death... like. it was a 40 footer and i went 60-70 feet

broke my tailbone and screwed up my back.. i am lucky to be walking today. so undershoot for now.

but it depends on the jump. the jump i died on had a very steep landing. some long landings you can pull it out of..

and mad +K to who ever bumped this.

Over. I've overshot a few times but the one time i over shot my knees came up and smacked me in the face.

It depents. jumps are different. For example this Derek Spongs undershoot. If i could choose, I would overshoot that rather than undershoot.

But if the jump is like a regular park jump, then i would choose undershooting (like in Dumonts overshoot)

overshoot, i have under and overshot the same jump, overshoot was shirtless and i rode away like a baller, didnt even hurt, undershoot hurt like shit, cus i landed about 2 feet short and HARD it was only a poppy 20 tho so it wasn't that huge of a jump

Overshooting can obviously turn out worse but it very rare to completely overshoot a jump to flat. Otherwise, Id much rather take a little more impact that normal by overshooting than breaking my heels decking a massive jump

undershoot. overshooting on a big jump is the worst feeling ever... last time it happened to me i walked a way with a concussion and some torn ligaments in my bicep

Overshoot FTW!

You get a ripe view of the park when you overshoot....not to mention the time you have to realize a sled tow in into a gravity fed jump might have been slightly overkill.

Hitting the knuckle and bouncing to flat sucks..its like getting bitch slapped twice and cleaning up the yard sale blows too.

Ill take the Dumont crash over the Tanner/Spong/Wilson crashes any day.
