well if you really undershoot you are landing completely flat right? and if you really overshoot you ar elanding completely flat too, so both would hurt equally with the same amout of air and speed, so you just choose the one with less air and speed, thus undershoot hahaha

I bet you everyone of the guys that said over shoot have never over shot a big table like 60 plus feet, that fucking hurts like a bitch, id rather knuckle a table then over shoot and beable to hit it again, my buddy over shot our 55 footer by close too 25 feet, if you factor the landings distance in too he went over 100 feet he got lucky and ended up with a concussion (he was wearin a helmet) of knees that were super sore.

it is funny when you case because sometimes you lose both skis and slide down the landing face first..but it hurts like a mofo

 
They both fucking hurt. But for the most part I'd rather undershoot. You may not look cool but you'll prolly walk-way from it. I've smashed my face on my knee casing a jump, but overshooting to the flats I've blown knees. Smashed face you can ski with. Blown knees you cant. So as spectacular as overshooting looks and you feel macho and crap, I'd rather undershoot and keep my knees

yeah. even though i said under shoot. when i was a henious skiboader i tried a 50 footer. got about 48 feet came on teh knuckle my hand bounced off my knee hit in the head and i got knocked out.. if i had been skiing. i would have made it...

well if you're rotating and you undershoot and you're not done spinning that sucks ass, but if you're going over you can at least get forward. I'm assuming most of you don't spin.

I'd say overshoot just like this guy at stevens pass that overshot by like a HELL of a lot and smashed his body into a million pieces on the ice and the people that work there had to scrape him off of the snow and shovel the bloodied snow into garbage bags.... but that's just me...

undershoot....I overshot once, I could feel it my stomach and it really sucked casue i wanted to puke the rest of the day.

overshoot...i hate when i case the jump by like a foot. not only does it hurt like hell, but i hate when u case, then have enough bounce to clear the landing and fall AGAIN

overshoot. if you overshoot you can see it coming and can prepare for it. if your undershooting odds are you are in the middle of a rotation or just coming outta a spin and are gunna eat it harder.

i mean i LIMITEDLY ever ski for myself during the winter, but last winter i got worked over on a 50 foot jump...went for 180 and just varely undercleared it, worst fall ever...completely compressed then shot up and past the landing, to land on my back,

steve is right, at least when u overshoot u have that 'oh fuck' moment to know whats gonna happen

overshooting. looks cooler, and Im pretty rubbery so its all good. a few days ago I hit a 50ft jump and went about 80 ft...all the way to the flats, lol, just some sore ankles and shins tho

hands down overshoot, looks cooler (look at wilson), and you still have some slant to land on if you overshoot it...besides it sounds cooler if you say 'i overshot that jump by 20 feet' not undershot it
