As I strive to build my music library to keep up with others... I find myself searching for good underground hip-hop (along the lines of Zion I, swollen members, sweatshop union)...any suggestions?
 
apathy, blue raspberry, camu tao, tame 1, cage, non phixion, goretex, sabac red, mr hyde, ill bill, necro, immortal technique, e-dot, q-unique...thats a start
 
wow thats a list of all the hiphop i listen to basically...dunno if its all that underground though.
 
Dilated Peoples, 7L & Esoteric, Aesop Rock, Mr. Lif, Asamov, Del the Funky Homosapien, Dj Premiere, Gang Starr, Hieroglyphics, The High and Mighty, Jedi Mind Tricks, The Roots, Non Phixion, G Code by Geto boys, not all of that is undergorund but its good stuff
 
if you want to go really underground. i bet 90 percent of you have never heard of them but phlegm, brad hammers, or ed macina(spelling?) they are more beatbox type crap but still hip-hop ish really really good shit. if you like aesop and sage. youll like them.
