Underglow, Baseglow Glow under the skis

Hey guys,

im new to this forum but i love the reviews section and have been looking through it to decide on a new pair of skis to buy after this season ends.

i was looking for a pair of skis that had the underglow or the baseglow you see on twin tip freestyle skis and a lot of snowboards. i was wondering what skis have this cause i've been looking and looking and armada doesnt have it, elan doesnt have it, k2 doesnt have it, etc.

the only pair i've seen with underglow is the 2005,6 volkl dogen's which have an orange glow but ive never seen any other skis like this. does anyone know where i can find something like it?

07/08 chronics? I have no idea what baseglow is, i always thought it was just the bright neon colors reflecting off the snow.

the neon colors reflecting off the snow, i just call it underglow cause its similar to the underglow of ricers or street cars, and base glow cause technically the base of the ski is glowing
 
what kind of skis do you want, soft park skis, stiff park skis, all mountain skis, pow skis? there are plenty in each category with bright neon bases, just gotta do a little research
 
im looking for a pair of twin tip skis that are good for all mountain riding, but can still perform on the park, something similar to the volkl dogens.

i've looked around, i know whats good and bad, but i cant find much with neon base paint.

in the end if i can't find anything else that i like, ill probably just go with the dogen's
 
one time i was riding my k2 "quaw quaw" snowboard ( the one that has a neon green base and says wild style on the bottom) and some guy asked me if i put batteries in it to make the snow underneath it glow. it was funny.
 
last years seths in the 179 have bright orange bases, and they rip all mountain and can still perform in the park
 
meh i dont really like the way the top part looks,

also i think they're meant for just park n pipe and im going to be

going all over the world skiing in the next few years (you know, before

global warming completely destroys this industry which sucks cause

skiing is fcuking amazing and i think im gonna go shoot myself)

and in response to the snowboard dude, i used to think the same thing, cause its so dam bright, but now i know, its just bright paint

 
first year (last years?) fischer addicts, they are neon green bases and I would guess they would have the glow you're referring to.
 
next years K2's, supposebly extremes or whatever, new PE? Neon bases if i remember correctly, theres a pic in freeskier
 
if you're going to be skiing "all over the world" then I think you should worry less about the color of your bases. just my thought.
 
guys stop hating on him. if you dont want to post something helpful then dont. some people look for differen things in skis, some people just want black skis, and this kid want sunderglow so let him be.
 
i dont think they actually glow....The neon base just reflects off the snow and it looks like it glows, Like the new invaders.
 
got the same skiisthe pink bases r fuckin nastyy. i dunno bout all this glow shit, but they stick out like a bad thumbbb. get those skiis,
 
K2 Missdemeanors (pink base). They actually ski damn nice. I prefered them to the PE. If they made it in a longer thengths I'd ski it.
 
haha, my friend has the 07/08 Line Invaders and some guy asked him in the lift line if he put lights on the bases of his skis. But you can't really see it unless your night skiing, so i would say get a ski that fits your preferences and not worry about the base color.
 
ok so i have a pretty good idea of all the skis listed. I just need to figure out which ones I can afford.

last call, any skis been left out?
 
like omgz you choose skis because of color! go with silencers they got mad color on them! haha

get skis that suit you're abiltiy and what you like not color, you sound like a girl
 
yeah i would definatly not buy skis based on color.. haha but my mother does think base glow or w.e. is like the coolest thing... its kinda wierd
