Underage drinking ticket: help me get outta that shit

i just got a ticket for underage drinking at school. are you fucking serious? but i'm going to try to argue that shit. how can i argue against the police for this ticket. its $136 and i really don't want to pay that. what up?

i was walking down a path at uconn, not doing shit. and i see these lights in my eyes. so i stopped. they said i had beer in my backpack. yea i did. so i opened it up and poured out like 9 beers. i was real cooperative but they were like, heres a ticket for $136. fucking assholes. they were like, if you're good we won't do anything, are you fucking serious. jesus fuck
 
cant do anything to fight it really, you admitted it and were caught redhanded, sorry bro. unless you want to pay a lot to get a lawyer....good luck with it though.
 
you didnt have to open your backpack for them, but since you abided by their request, your fucked. you need to always clarify with them what is a request and what is an order.
 
yea i fucking remembered that as soon as i got the ticket. fuckkkkkkkkkkk. hopefully i can get a lawyer or something.

yeah i got one like 3 years ago...get a lawyer (mine was a friend of the family). he got mine reduced to disorderly conduct

Besides cost a lot of money? Not really. Seriously, just man up and pay the ticket and get on with your fucking life.
 
dumb enough, fuck that. if we can die for our country, we can fucking have a beer. the drinking age is bullshit. it's not stupid to drink, the law is stupid and unjust. the us is behind almost every other country and culture that understands that you dont have to be 21 to drink.

Yeah right. Getting the lawyer on its own will probably cost much more than than the ticket itself.

Just pay it up, unless you can think of a legit excuse
 
pay up dude its college everyone gets caught drinking. its my freshman year and i got caught last week. oh well shit happens.
 
In Canada it is illegal for a minor to buy alcool not to drink it. so you probly got caught drinking in a public place that illegal for everyone.
 
well my godfather is a damn good lawyer, so i figure he can spot me a favor or something.

anyways, i did get a ticket for underage drinking, while they never tested me for being drunk at all. they simply saw a beer can in my backpack (because my fucking friend put it in the side pouch). maybe i could argue that i wasn't drunk and possession of alcohol as a minor would be a better charge than underage drinking.
 
A lawyer will at least give you some options. It will cost you more than the ticket, but you'll have a fighting chance.
 
go to the court date. plead guiltyt. tell them that you are a good kid. they may reduce it for you, ask for a class to take, or community service.
 
It sucks you got caught but you should just pay the fine. sure 135 bucks is a decent amount of money for a college student but they did catch you (a minor) in possession of alcohol, which is illegal. its happened to me twice. the first time i helped a friend who was way too drunk and almost died. the second i cooperated with the police and got a ticket. it sucks to say but good guys do finish last.
 
yeah, running is always a good option. never open your backpack for a cop. Go to court and plead not guilty. you will probably get community service. But really, 135 is nothing for a ticket. I got and MIC, basically the same thing, and it was 410 dollars.
 
You're retarded. All you had to do was say, "No I don't", and "No you can't look in my backpack". Now you have to pay the ticket. You have no real other option.
 
u cant get possession as a minor because ur not a minor, ur said ur in college.

$136 for a ticket is nothing dude. thats one of the lowest tickets you can get, even in traffic law. just pay the fine, a lawyer is atleast a few hundred an hour, that includes in court and out of court

all you should have to do is pay the fine and itl just be on ur record. its really not a huge deal.
