most companies offer some sort of base layer... helly hansen, bonfire, salomon, etc... they are awesome for a number of reasons: 1. they don't make you look like a football player like gay underarmour. 2. they keep you far warmer and drier than cotton. 3. they are super thin, not bulky like a sweatshirt or even a wool sweater.
