How do you think their stuff will be? their sites not up, but dash longe is sponored by them already. all their other stuff is pretty nice, so it might be interesting. or completeley gaper, who knows

Haven't gotten my hands on any of their Winter gear. I wear their stuff for working out and I think it is a bit overpriced. Winter product could be 100% different and more competitive, you never know.

wasn't there recently some posting where they were trying to gather information or contacts from here?

damn...well if you go to freeskier and look at the ask dash thing in the pic he is wearing under armor i believe

I would never buy anything of theirs ever, unless they stopped making those HORRIBLE tv commercials they show during football games.

I met one of the guys that is doing the reping in mammoth last sping and it look like a good idea. If i had the money id go for it, better then some other coat that cost alot.

i loveeeee underarmour, i wear their stuff for lacrosse and to work and its the best material ever. but would i buy their outerwear? it'll take time for some reviews to come in and some desiogns and then maybe i would.

its probly gonna be high quality, but i feel like its gonna be more of a columbia company than a sessions or saga. its might keep u dry, but i bet itll make u look like a tool. theres so many other sick ass companies out right now, why not buy from them, the core

its the most overpriced stuff out there. as far as the cold gear and whatnot, capilene works better, and polarmax works just as well for about half the price.

it will likely cost a shitload, and they don't realize no one will pay more for that than Orage, Oakley, etc.

I miss when sessions was fucking bulletproof.

YOu could just have thier shit for like 3 seasons and it was still hot and top notch! Imiss the good ol days.

it will probably be technically solid, good waterproofing and breathability, but probably look like columbia or some other mainstream mass market company. probably overpriced too. but under armour did start off as a local company in baltimore, MD and its kinda cool to see it get this big after being invented by a UMD football player

WE MUST PROTECT THIS HOUSE.

Soooo annoying and dumb, those Under Armor commercials are.

haha i know. the team they play with the white uniforms and the blue maple leaves on their helmets is the team i played for when i was younger. the inventor of under armour played for them when he was younger which is why they're in the commercial

all under armour is is a bunch of marketing bullshit and hype. they marketed the product well by going for football players first by branding and merchandising a product that has been out forever but no one paid attention to in that market segment because it was made by an outdoorsy company who was concerned with the environment. all of a sudden, a company that promotes itself to to high school and college athletes starts making the same thing and advertising the shit out of it, and its the greatest thing since sliced bread. their outerwear looks like crap and its not cheap, just like the rest of the stuff they make. i'll stick to patagonia, obermeyer, orage, sessions, etc. that actually have roots in the sport i love.

I understand what you mean with this, although I do use the under armour cold gear long sleeve when I'm skiing and it keeps me pretty warm. Bottom I use hot chilis, I find em more comfy. under armour is pretty pricey but I went to their factory during a huge sale and got the cold gear for something like $15, which is about $30 off regular price.

yes, I completely agree, UA looks really dumb...I can't stand when people wear all UA products, it just looks like a walking billboard.

I think this is a great idea. UA makes some of the highest quality thermals out there, if they want to start marketing to skiers and sponsoring our atheletes, that's great for the sport.

What "core" companies make thermals anyway?

Sooooooooooooo true. I absolutely hate underarmor, other than their compression shorts i wear sometimes for track and some long spandex for when we have outdoor meets in new england in april.. its friggin cold. But the whole company is so fucking lame. They make the worst commercials and make football players think they are the shit. They make bicep bands for christ's sake. I mean honestly, any company that makes bicep bands, shitty skull caps, and those enormous sweatshirts the the even bigger UA logo on it i will NEVER buy any products from other than compression shorts/pants. I don't even like their upper body stuff very much. I have a long sleeve helly hanson thermal shirt that i like way better. Under armor sucks and is made in sweat shops probably haha

patagonia makes pretty much the best stuff out, helly makes a bunch of sick stuff, as does obermeyer, orage, and sessions, just to name a few. theres also smartwool and polarmax who market pretty specifically to the ski/snowboard industry.

who says under armour is marketing to the park rat crowd? their gear probably won't look like saga or orage but it will probably be along the lines of karbon, descente and spyder. yes it will probably be priced high, too high for most people on here. it's called a marketing strategy, freeskiers, as much as i hate to say it freeskiers are not the market most people think they are. look at racers, private ski club members, and others that dole out thousands upon thousands each year not because they need something new but mainly because they want something new. the market is more than likely going to be the guy in his late 20s to mid 30s that knows the brand well, has lots of money and mainly skis from 10am to 3pm and spends the rest of the day in the bar looking for a piece of ass to take back to his hotel room.

it makes no sense ripping on a company that hasn't even released their designs yet because you don't even know what their plans are

Agreed, however Rob, I will rip on a company for making commercials as horrible us UA commercials.

Watch the xgames last year buddy???? There were ads for it every 20 mins and it opened with a halfpipe, also they are advertising in Freeskier and Powder so from that I would assume they are also trying to capture the freeski market. And all of us are just as guilty of buying something because we want it not because we need it.

There shit is gonna be sweet if your into that sortt of thing im def not and it is up on there site so go check it out.
