Jackson Hole wasn't crowed when I went there over the holidays. The longest I waited all week was about 10 minutes for the tram.

I've never expearienced bad crowds at Winter Park. The lines can be kind of bad on the lift up top and the main lift on the bottom, but they have alot of lifts and most are nice.

One time my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. He bought it at our local mall so the whole fiasco wound up in the news. It was embarrassing for my relatives and all, but the next week, he did it again. Different cat same results complete with another trip to the emergency room. So I run into him a week later in the mall and he’s buying another cat and I says to him “Jesus Walt, what are you doing? You know your going to get this cat stuck up your ass too, why don’t you knock it off?” And he said to me “Brody, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?”

if the snow is good go to montana, big sky is usually pretty empty in december, bridger bowl is nice too, but it's smaller

Jackson Has a whole mountain (Apres-Vous) where most of the less advanced runs are located. Almost all groomed and not too steep.

yeah, the easy stuff at jackson hole isnt too bad, big sky also has some nice long green runs that would be good, theres also Snow King which is right in the town of Jackson, from what i understand that's a little easier, so maybe your parents could go there and you coudl go to Jackson Hole

Dont go to vail, breck, or keystone if you hate crowds, I mean I love vail and breck but the lift line can be 20min.

My family always used to go like December 19th ish through december 26th. December 25th it's freakin dead.

Big sky is limited with the crowds for sure, Alta is a nice SKI ONLY area, if you message me I'll tell you my big huge out west secret....it's a place that has your name written all over it.

Big White B.C. is just a ghost town....uhhmmm I could go on forever.

I would stay away from the Tahoe basin around that time. The last time I went up around Christmas, it wasa pretty packed.

Utah has been uncrowed for the last 2 years now...seriously...just dont go to PC or Deer Valley or anywhere the olympic venues were held and youll be fine..I recomend Snowbird. The Canyons, Brighton, Solitude (never ever croweded), Beaver Mtn., Alta

Yeah, I heard Park City was just horrible this year because of the crowds.

Mt. Baker would definitly have powder. Lots of it, from what I hear. If I recall correctly, they had the record for most snowfall in a single season ever back in 98. I think that they got 1100 inches, or something that.

If you want to go somewhere with no people, go to June - they have the sickest park and the best superpipe of any resort. a busy day at June is when you have to wait 30 seconds to load a chair because there are 4 people in line in font of you. check out http://www.jm2unbound.com

Yeah, back in the 98-99 season they got the World snowfall record with 1140 inches in the season. This season they got 586 inches, and it was a concidered not to be a great year. 01-02 seaosn, which was horrible thoughtout most of the world, Baker got 800 inches.

Stay out of Colorado! When the guys up there said 20 min lift lines, they meant 40. It's so bad here. The worst day is Dec 26th. If you really want to come here, Steamboat's ok, Telluride and Crested Butte are a pain to get to, so they're less crowded. You could look into going to New Mexico (Taos and Santa Fe are sick) or to the Canadian Rockies like Fernie and Panorama. I've never been to the Canadian Rockies, but I hear they're good.

just go to canmore or banff alberta. you got like 5 mountains, 3 with good parks and all with excellent riding all within half hour of where you stay. fortress and nakiska are great cuz if your mom or some other family memebrs aren't that great of skiers drop em off at nakiska, drive another 15 minutes down the road and ski great pow all day at fortress. FORTRESS HAS NO CROWDS. Its the only ski hill i've ever been to with decent food prices. twoonie jumbo fries and all the skiing is great. the jump building is endless at sunshine, and the best park is at louise. rails are at norquay. bottom line, albertas cool.

sacrifice, to some its just a word, to others it is a code, what matters is the colony, he is willing to live for the colony, fight for the colony, die for the colony.

i went to big sky the first week of january this year, and there was never anyone there. you might pass 2 people going down a run, on a busy day it seemed like. this year sucked though, there was a 27 inch base. the park opened up just the last day we were there, with a few rails, one table, a hip, and the half pipe. it seemed pretty nice, but it hadnt snowed more than 2 cms in about 2 weeks, so the snow was nice and hard. but they have a ton of terrain, lot's of stuff to choose from.

I usually ski at keystone, and if you hang out on the back mountains there usually aint crap for a liftline. Also the mid lift is all right.

manning park resort, an hour out of hope, bc. you ski onto the lift, there's never lines, but it's a really small hill, two chairs...

brundage is pretty uncrowded (its in McCall Idaho) and there park is pretty good. and they have good easy runs too

schweitzer i heard was pretty uncrowded i guess. (sandpoint idaho) and mt. baker in washington

^^Might just be my luck, but I've been to Banff 5 times in December and everytime the snow has been shit. I did go once in March and it was much better, but still.....not my favorite. My best experiences in that area have been at Kicking horse in February and the VERY top of Lake Louise, again in February. I decided to give Banff one last try last December, we ended up leaving and going to 'that one place on the other side of the park' in B.C.

I just think that although steep (which is nice) that part of the Canadian Rockies requires too much snow to make it skiable, rather, it's not a consistent rock formation it's very jagged, most of that has to be covered to be skiable.

Alta, Solitude, Snow Basin (I was there the year before the olympics), Whistler (some spots were crowded, but overall not bad), and Jackson (even though did have a 20-30 minute wait a couple times from the tram) weren't bad when I was there. I've also heard good things about Bella Coola, BC too.

I would expect to see Whistlers crowds getting bigger though, with the olympics coming, and Jackson will probably get pretty crowded when there build out is complete (building a huge expansion at the base - will be the biggest building in Wyoming).
