Unatural spins are fucking hard. In a comp, would you get good marks for an unatural trick, or would the judges even give a shit?

i think it depends on the judges if you think they'll give a rats ass or even noticwe your spinning unnatty then go for it. i can spin unnatty 3 safetys their fun i wanna get to 5 but kinda hard. i think unnatty 3's are sick and if i was a judge id score it decently

at local comps, chances are they wont know the difference...but that dont matter...do them just to do them. there is no reason not too

 
Just tell the guy at the top (if there is one) that you're going unnatural, and he usually will radio to the judges.

Judges seldom give a shit, even if in a slopestyle you throw back to back opposite rotating tricks.

it's kinda whack, you get mad props for it from all the other skiers but that's about as far as the reward goes.

 
i feel you should get credit in a comp for spinning unnatty. many don't, many do...one huge arguement. if you can learn to do things both ways its sick.

its kinda weird, and i just had a conversation about this on the weekend.... some people say they can only do like mistys unnatural, or flatspins, well then thats natural, because if you can only do them one way its the natural way, even if your spinning oppisite you spin on corks or straight spins, i dont think this makes sense but i just wanted to say that

at the usfo on ur entry form you write which foot forward you grind and which way you spin so the judges know before u start.

than why doesnt everyone write they spin unnatural. (left or right whatever it may be) i bet that doesnt work well, and whoever said spin both ways even if judges dont know, i disagree. practice that on your own time, but a competition is all about winning so do what u think u can to win nothing more nothing less.

 
unnatural is overrated i'd say. It doesnt add visually to the trick. In a comp you should be scored higher for it because the difficulty is harder but you shouldnt be scored much harder.

okay, i just gotta say...please stop making the FARP video things. Its cool if you wanna make them and all, but dont make a website about it etc. Or at least get better first. You are hurting the industry. When snowboarders see skiers like Fred and Randall doing stupid flailing 360 attempts 8 inches off the ground, they laugh there heads off, and skiing takes another blow. I don't think you should get shit for unnatural spins. Its somthing everyone should be able to do in the first place, and in a year or two, if you can't do everything both ways then you won't be a pro skier....

goin into slopestyle and hittin two tables and spinnin one left and the other right, then two rails, one left foot forward and the other right forward looks awesome and it just shows how well rounded of a park rider you are. I think unnatural tricks should be scored as if it were a 180 more for difficulty, (ex. unnat 3=reg 5, unnat 5=reg 7, etc) but style, ampltude etc, would all be judged the same on an unnatural trick as a reg

You do them in pipe and the judges take notice but in big air they don't, i reckon you should hand in your registration form saying natural spinning way left-right or wat ever.
