Umphrey's is fucking on right now, they are rocking harder than any other big name band thats touring right now. Go see them they are tearing it up.

Some folks look for answers, others look for fights

umphrey's owns...you guys have to listen to 10-8-04

Set One: All In Time, Partyin' Peeps, Tribute to the Spinal Shaft > The Crooked One > Miss Tinkle's Overture, Nemo, Resolution, Garbage Man^ > Mulche's Odyssey

Set Two: Plunger* -> Robot World, Roseanna > jam^^ > The Triple Wide > "Jimmy Stewart" > Walletsworth, 40's Theme > Glory > Utopian Fir**, JaJunk

Encore: The Bottom Half, Bridgless

its played at their local spot in chicago and the crowed is soo loud on the opener All in time...its so great.

other notable tracks are tribute to the spinal shaft, cooked one, miss tinkle's overture, nemo, 40's theme, roseanna which is a sweet cover, jimmy stewart...shit, literally the hole concert is off the hook. check it out...in one of the tracks on the second set, they play a star wars imperial march tease which is really cool too.

no matter how hard you shake and dance, the last few drops go in the pants

ive heard them twice and both have been recent...my new favorite band..amazing

Underground Hip Hop Cult

yea im seeing moe and allman bros the 21st..they are totally different than Moe. Moe is way old school has longer jams with fewer changes in the rythym and speed of the jam

i just saw moe and allman brothers on saturday, personally i thought moe was good and all, but for one i thought they played for too long, and i dont know they just didnt do that much for me. I think umphreys is way better, they are different too. they have a very distinct guitar sound.

i love New years 12/31/04

I like Umphreys a lot but in my opinion I think they are sorta overrated. There are a lot of bands right now that are just waiting to hit the masses that are going to absolutely put Umph to shame.

The Breakfast has been around a while now, I fucking love them but I don't see them hitting it big. RAQ just doesn't do it for me. In my opinion neither of them have the same energy and intensity that umphrey's has.

But yeah you're right that there are many small (some very small) bands that may rival umphrey's. Right now though, umphreys is doing it for me in a big way.

did you buy kettle corn or lemonade at the stand right by the stage?

what do you mean jamband cliche, they dont even consider themselves a jam band, they consider themselves a rock band, and many others say they are ja** the * on my keyboard doesnt work

'Soberity is not an option.'

Drivin that Train

im a shithead for saying this but once you start listening to jazz and whatnot jambands lose their dazzle and their music becomes kind of played and lame. but i love phish with all my heart.
