Umbrellas in the Snow? WTF?

So watching both Ski porn and LSS I've noticed a whacked trend..

What is with the randoms walking down the street in the snow using Umbrellas?

I can honestly say I have never seen this EVER around my parts. Can anoyone vouch for this odd tendency?

Haha, it just baffles me, because there isn't enough Moisture content in snow to get you actually wet unless you're out in PUKING snow for a while.
