10th seeded coming into the tournament: upsets Cornell, upsets Hofstra and now TODAY upsets Maryland in Phila 8-5 and will upset Virgin ia.....can these boys be stopped? Sean MORRIS on attack, DEANE ON FACEOFFS and DOC IN GOAL! Its gonna be a tough victory but WE GOT NOTHING TO LOSE AGAINST VIRGNIA ON MONDAY! GO , GO U ,GO U-MASS!
 
i am from VA, and yet, i really want UMass to win, just cuz they underdogs, and UVA has taken the place of what would be duke, and i hate teams like that...

haha everyone in college lacrosse has illegal pockets. they pull um up when they get checked, it's not uncommon.
 
umass is the shit, they were all at this camp i went to over the summer and sean morrison was there and he is just unbelieveable at lacrosse, sept virginiia is guna own them tomarow, matt ward is sick
 
dude, every team has kids who do that to their sticks. connely did it all through high schoool, why do you think he had over 500 points for his high school career.

It'll be awesome no matter who wins, because Virginia will have their first undefeated season, or UMASS will have their first UVA win and their first National Championship in a Looong time.
 
chances of UMASS winning are slim... but there offense can pull it off if they settle it down and make shit happen
 
i never really knew that umass would be this good to make it to the finals, sucks they couldnt win

matt ward is REDICULOUS but jimmy connolly is from my area

connolly, one of the powell brothers and MAx something from duxbury mass are the only players in high school of all time to score over 500 points (thats an average of 125 points per season) and that max kid HAS to go to duke for next season, which sucks, cuz theyve lost alot of players and apparently they cant play next season, but i dont know oif thats true

and for the game umass played VERY STRONG in the first half and I was NOT impressed with the fans of uva at all but their players are insane. its almost as if uva players were machines and their fans were just plain humans who coudlnt understand their own team if it hit them in the face.....umass will go down in history today more then uva i feel simply because they have NEVER made it to a final four before OR EVEN THE FINALS and the fact that they rattled the cage of one of the best teams in lax college history.
 
yeah word up, thats so sick. i still with umass won. that would have been the most amazing thing ever.

beating the first place,undefeated, number one seaded team in the finals, when your team was unseaded. that would have been the greatest upset in like any sports history haha
 
any lacrosse player shuold know that having an illegal stick like that can go to your own disadvantage cus the ball doesnt come out when trying to shoot...dont get pissed off at players cus everyone has illegal sticks in some way
 
Correction, they are 12th team to be undefeated in an entire season, UVA just had the MOST undefeated wins in a season and they set the record for that. And I hope we got on tv that would be sick.
 
I think I read one of the 4 largest margins of victory since they've been having a lacrosse championship game...biggest margin since 1999...UMass no where near the same level as UVA.
