UMass Amherst

Any NSers go to UMass? I've been looking at colleges on the east coast and want something bigger compared to a lot of the small liberal arts schools up in NE. It's only about an hour and 15 from mount snow, which is like what I drive to get to big boulder now anyway.

Opinions?

It's an excellent school and difficult to get into. If you have the accolades to get into Amherst you may want to aim for one of the Ivys, as their reputation will carry you father and they will be more generous with their financial aid. Do you know what you want to study? Dartmouth could be a good option for you based on what you describe.

Nope.

Dartmouth is smaller and much much harder to get into that UMass.

UMass may be a pretty good school but it isn't comparable is selectivity to the ives at all.

Lol umass is comparable to ivys. Wow bud. I got into this zoo of a school with a 2.6 GPA. Not that I'm bragging in any way at all, I'm just saying for any other kids looking at umass, grades aren't everything. And if you have above a 2.5 you have an alright shot at getting in.

Ahh I see you were thinking of amherst college not umass. But still Amherst arguably has a better reputation than dartmouth and could give awesome aid cause they have tons of money.

Thinking of studying engineering, looked and they seem to have a decent school for that
