UMaine Ski and Board Rail Jam

For anyone in the northern region of the east, Im curious if you've heard anything on this event. It's gotten some coverage so far from ski the east and the university surprisingly. Our ski and board club at Maine is in its baby years, and this is their first freestyle oriented event. Supposedly, some of the sugarloaf crew is bringing rails down to set up for the comp, and it's seeming pretty legit. If you're within a few hours, it's worth the trip! rail jam is next Friday night, and Orono conveniently has plenty of places to party after.

Oh, and this will be a hot topic, it's hosted at Beta's frat house. lmao.

Its sick to watch rail jams being adopted, even if the level of riding and competition won't be that of a jam hosted by a mountain or larger association.

I'm the roommate he speaks of and the engineering program here is pretty sweet, really the only program the school is dumping a lot of money into at the moment. Definitely came to the right place for engineering. Forewarning, you my develop a raging alcohol problem but all for good reasons haha

This is sick! Im glad to see more events like this! We are holding our annual on-campus rail jam at Oswego State tomorrow 2/17... We've been doing it for over 10 years now, we get great support from the school and our grounds crew even helps bring snow over with payloaders.

If you can prove its a popular event push it with the school, get their support, get other clubs invloved. We get our radio station to play music and tv station to broadcast, I know our administration loves the event every year and looks forward to it.
