Ultimate Ski-mobile?

volvo-s60-1.jpg

Thats my ride, the 2001 Volvo S60. Probably the most solid car all around, ever. I'm 6'5 and I fit in to the comfy leather bucket seats like the car was built specifically for me. I also have this magical "Winter/Wet Weather" button, which when pressed, makes the car unstoppable in snow. Speakers, sounds better than most hooked up systems.

Finally, the greatest part for any ski bum. You can put the entire arm rest down do so you can put your skis through it and hold it in the trunk without ever putting a ski rack on. Saves gas like you wouldn't believe.

Plain and simple, its amazing, its awesome, its a Volvo.

A pre 2000 Toyota 4 runner with the two stage tailgate. A little hard to find, but that would be up there for sure, and its a classic ski car. Toyota reliability and 4wd as well, and not too bad for mileage either.

Yeah, I would have to consider this too. Its sexy, fast, has some room for skis and gear, good clearance and AWD. Better fuel economy, easier to use in a city. This would have to be my first choice right now.

this winter i had a 1999 ford windstar, 219K, thule box. we could cruise to the hill with 6 kids plus all our gear. plus cops dont fuck with minivans

alright heres prob the best one so far. Nissan Armada. My dad had it for a while. That truck is freakin huge. 3 rows, all fold down, good in snow. and its named after a ski company, Come on! you can fit soooo much shit inside. deff big enough for cots, beds, w/e you want and still have extra room.

i got an element and one sick thing about it is the floor because all the snow just melts and you can just wipe it out or spray the shit out with a hose because the floor is a rubbery type of material. the car looks pretty bad but inside its really not bad and you dont even need racks i just slip my skis under the seats and i can fit 2 pairs on either side and they dont slide around at all

If you are like me and are poor...

You Can even put a LLAMA in it! What more can you ask for?

suburban, or subaru. a truck with a cover over the back is good cuz a mattress will fit in thier easy and it would be a good overnight car!

saab 9-2x

all wheel drive. flat laying back seat. decent clearance. thule box. better than trucks for your live heater (dog) cause of space and fido isn't in the bed.

same price as a subaru impreza wagon and wrx... and has much cheaper insurance because not every freshly rich 16 year old is crashing theirs.

I have an 06' Nissan Xterra it seems to suit my needs pretty well. I wish it got a little better MPG's but you can't have everything.

06 Passat!! thats what my dad is giving me in a few days... if you put "blizzacs" (sp?) (some special snow tire) on any car, it will be super ill in snow

Two or four door Yukon/Tahoe with the full width roof box, I can fit 6 pairs of skis and boots and stinky gloves up top so it dosen't stink in the truck and it can drive through anything

This works for me, ext. cab for sleeping in the front in rest stops or just climb in the back. I have a rack now for skis up top, and the tires and 4wd do just fine in the snow.

I had a 2001 Audi 1.8t Quattro 5 speed for a while, it was a great car, tons of fun. Although it lacked some ground clearance when driving in rutted, snowy parking lots. I opted to give the car to my dad, now I am driving a 2003 Toyota Tacoma TRD V6 5 speed. I do miss the Audi on sunny days and windy roads, but the truck is a beast and has already proven itself to be my ski-truck.

we have two 1989 4 runners(ones for parts), ultimate ski vehicle, lockable hubs, 4 wheel drive, ski rack, good on gas and in the summer, the roof comes off. my vehicle once i get my licsence.

Anyone suggesting any type of truck/suv that skis is not thinking. After all we depend on cold weather. Truth be told SUV's also do not handle as well in snow as a car does. Once you get them sliding, they are hard to stop. I'd go for an Audi A6 Quattro wagon but make sure it's 2003 or later. Decent mileage, great handling in bad weather and performance

older style 4 runner with the removable top. can haul shit like a truck, wheels decent has a back seat and lifts are cheap

when i get my subaru outback, im gonna take out the back seats, and put a mattress in their for overnighters at my home mt.!

06 wrx wagon. i love it. inflatable mattress fits just perfect in the back. i also realy realy like the new toyota FJcruiser for some odd reason. even though its said to be a chick car i think they are badass
