I've had this gnawing pain in my upper abdomen all night, at first I thought I was hungry so I ate some pizza and that only made it worse. It's kept me up all night, I have to work at 10, I really don't know what to do... I called my mom because she's usually pretty good with this kinda shit and she thinks it might be an ulcer, which sounds pretty extreme, anyone else think they might know what it is?

Heart burn? Every time you swallow does it burn around your diaphragm after a short pause? Then again, stomach ulcers can cause heartburn.

Basically you have aids.

Fuck me sideways, I've experienced every one of those to varying degrees... shit. I really cannot afford an ulcer right now, I just got a new job that I love, I can't fucking believe this. Thanks for the look-up BcL... looks like I'm making some doctor's calls today.

id go check it out. symptons seem pretty similar... if you vomit or shit blood move your arse to the hospital really quickly. good luck, feel better.

Yeah please call the doctor. I ended up with an ulcer due to too much advil and tylenol. It started out as just a cramping pain in my upper abdomen. I ended up having to be carried by my father into the emergency room where I was writhing in pain. I ended up having to get 2 demoral drips to soothe the pain and some dose of morphine to knock me out. One of the worst nights of my life.

So don't just shrug the pain off. You'll think you are gonna die if you don't.

its like a hole in your stomach, i dont think they're fatal but they can cause some damage if you dont get it fixed up

ulcer may sound bad but i have had one and they usually can be cured fast. if u go to the doctor they will give u some stuff to drink that makes it go away. sooo may sound like a bad thing but if u go to the doctor that will help a ton.

Stay away from booze, smoking, acidic foods, fatty/greasy foods, and take lots of antacids and other sort of bases. If that doesn't help in a few days or like others said you cough up or poop blood then see the doctor.

Jesus... haha I called the doctor and they said anywhere from 45$-150$ so I figured I'd tough it out... Uhm... shit... I drank a lot haha, it was my cousin's return home party. I bought some Maalox (a lot like Pepto Bismol) from Wal Mart and down a lot of that, so my stomach feels OK... shit I really don't know what to do haha..
