Chavs attacked SSV today. they firebombed the top of the slope above the halfpipe. myself, Jp, Hemingway and Pete (staff at SV) managed to run up and down carting around 13 fire extinguishers to the top of the slope, and inhaling the toxic fumes given by the burning dendix. The fire crew took long enough to get there, and even when they did come the hose wasnt even working. WE did most of the work (good to see our taxes are spent well).

Glad to see that the owner, Kevin Pullan, wont say even a thankyou to the staff involved, blatently doesnt give a sh*t about the fact that we risked our lives and health to save the place we love so much.

Chav is an english word for white trash, don't really know what it comes from. But what the fuck, whats the purpose of this, some sort of revenge for something? Really sad to hear this, i'm moving to Sheffield in september and really looking forward to shreddin the skivillage (i assume ssv is short for sheffield ski village). But this really sounds fuckin random, interested to hear what the reason is.
 
It's supposedly an acronym for Council-Housed and Violent. i.e. people living on state welfare not because they can't find a job, but because they don't want to find a job.

And I doubt it was revenge, but because they're stupid, mindless little shits, with no concern for anyone elses' property. Because they have no goals or purpose in life, they take their fun from destroying stuff
 
This is gnarly though, here in Denmark we get our fair share of vandalism from shitty little kids, but that's mostly limited to breaking the glass in bus shelters and the occasional wrecked train car, but frickin firebombs, thats lethal shit someone could get hurt real easy! Firebombs in Denmark generally means that the biker gangs and the immigrant gangs have attacked eachother. Firebombs as vandalism, that's next level shit dude! Lookin forward to moving to Sheffield!

Man I hate Chavs!

It looks like the staff did an awesome job in stopping the damage spreading further down the slope so good job man and hope you won't feel to many after effects.

I wonder how much the damage it going to be?

sometimes i wish i lived in england so i could ski year round and not need snow

that sucks man, and i hate how bosses dont thank staff for things like this. its like they are oblivious to who does the best work. i bet they douche thanked the firefighters who did basically nothing but show up.

Im thinking that they may have bombed the ski complex because its made out of virtually plastic, and lots of it. When plastic is burned it makes toxic fumes. They probably thought "Hey, we could kill a couple people or make many sick. Which one?" For trying an attack on peoples well being, this just bring the Chavs down to the lowest level you can get.
 
wow dude that's messed up. I hope you guys are ok after breathing that shit in and everything gets repaired soon, there are some serious scumbags in the world.
 
Shit! Why the fuck would people do that it's like kids used to come down my school soccer pitchs and cut the goal nets up, WTF do they gain from it?
